A reason to get rid of XP Pro. Not that I dont want too.

The greatest game of all time is getting a 3rd chance.

 

Honestly, I'm just hoping for a much better Battlefield 2. Basically, Battlefield 2 with a better engine (graphics, physics, etc) better balanced, bug/glitch free and more variety.
In terms of graphics, sound and physics, I hope it's going to MIND-BLOWING like what Battlefield 2 was in its day!

I totally agree.

I played the beta for Bad Company 2, and was so disappointed.

I miss the feel of Battlefield 2. So many good memories...

 

I want jets that can kill without a care in the world.

I want infantry that hops around like a frog using every hitbox glitch humanly possible.

I want maps so big that if I don't have access to a vehicle it's a 15 minute walk to the next kill.

I want guns that for no apparent reason couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

I want a UAV every 2 minutes providing information of enemy positions so that I can actually kill someone because my level of combat awareness is next to zero.

I want the whole game to turn into a spoilt fest at the end of it's life-cycle.

I want the developers to forget about GAMEPLAY and concentrate on the gamekilling aspect of REALISM.

 

Nice summary of Battlefield 2, and I completely agree with it.

I'd love a Battlefield 1942 or Vietnam remake. But a modern conflict will do.

Also, do something about all the snipers, please.

Also, a game full of noob snipers will still be a game full of noobs. Just because you change the kit from sniper to something else doesn't mean they will get any good. Stacked team is stacked. :/

 

Just change that to a Bf1942 on a new engine and I agree

 

Will it be another console port?I hope no.But i have faith in DICE, they love PC gaming.Hope they release Mod tools alsoBut again, without server files, there will be hard to do mods on it, especially multiplayer mods.

 

If its just another battlefield 2, i will puke. Battlefield 2 was awesome cause it broke new ground, thats why it was good. If battlefield 3 is just battlefield 2 with a facelift (like battlefied 2142) then they can keep it. I do not care. Theres way to many bf2 clones out there now and there will be plenty in the future.

However if they innovate add some gameplay that hasn't been done b4, increase max player counts and some role play elements I will be totally sold!

Am I the only one who freaking loves BFBC2? It's seriously one of my favorite games out there.

BF2 rocked as well, and I played that a lot back in the day. I do miss the jets in BFBC2, but it is nice not getting owned by those few awesome enough to be able to fly those ridiculous things. I do also miss the commander menu and all, but it's not a big enough deal, IMO. Maps could/should be larger, however.

So far for me, BFBC2 is better than BF2. An aesthetically-updated BF2 would be a let-down, IMO - I want innovation!

I never played BF2 or it's predecessors since I had very bad internet connection at that time. I quite enjoy BBC2 though, yet it is indeed close quarter fighting most of the time. I would love battles on a much bigger scale, but as BF3 will be multi-platform most probably, I doubt the huge maps and 64+ players will be in it, but hey, I'd be happy if i'm worng. Also could look quite good visually if it's native dx 10/11 with even better physics than in BBC2.

 

How many years it took the balance the bf2? Hope bf3 wont be buggy unbalanced.

i want 128 player maps. and i want Battlefield 2 gameplay with the frostbitengine from bc2. thats it


and a litle more choice when it comes to your kits gear.

 

Like the rest already mentioned, great way to summarize it.

 

if you have to go prone in order to shoot somebody.. you are just a bad shot

and no i dont even want to talk about machineguns. as there is no way to shoot them in an accurate fashion standing upright. i want to see you with a 11-13kg mg in your hands shooting at a target that is at least 100meters away.

 

And yet, it's still one of the most popular Battlefield's too date! Funny that!
