    atleast you seem to be calm enough to use the words displeased. im ****ing annoyed that ati is leaving so many users in the dark. it used to be fun waiting for new drivers, now the crap has been here for months and they dont really give a ****.

    They really aren't giving a **** about the drivers now. The entire driver team seems like nothing more than a bunch of trained monkeys.

    I love the way they talk about vacations and soccer and all sorts of social concepts on their twittter. It makes them seem like a group of professionals who really care that they are voice of the competition in PC graphics.

    They are so amazing! Every driver is able to destroy my gaming experience a little more!

    ATI and the "Catalyst Maker" certainly have the best marketing campaign out ever! 2X their hardware sucks. More then 2 sucks even more. So buy less, or buy the competition and you're probably better off.

    Give that man more vacation time and certainly more cockiness, as obviously, he still thinks he's the best thing that happened to DX11 gaming. I guess he never tried to play games on his competitions hardware.

    You shouldn't have to rely on TWL and Jap for upgrades. They don't even get paid... Yet they address issues and don't tout what they cannot deliver.

    If only we could had a better platform to those two. PC gaming would dominate.

    Unfortunately, we only get to hear about how great a plane ticket price, or where in the world he checks his emails.

    BOO on Catalyst MAKER!

    Long LIVE TWL AND JAP! (The last hope for PC gamers who were too quick to adopt ATI). Good Luck Boyz! AND DONATE!!!!!!!!

    Crossfire was an afterthought, added to compete with nVidia when SLI was introduced. It was never meant to be a mainstream alternative, and so far ATI doesn't seem to have solved the issues with CF/CFX. Seems like Single-GPU is still the way to go with ATI hardware (for now).

    I may have misunderstood this but I seem to recall reading that ATI were working on a connector that improved the bandwidth and data flow between multiple GPUs which would in turn lead to better CrossFire performance. What happened to that?

    *sigh* at people who don't understand that hotfix code takes a few driver versions to merge into the mainline code.

    Hi
    Here are some feedbacks of the 8.761 Win All July 27/10 drivers with BC2.
    The loading time is now only 2-3 slower than the 10.5a drivers.

    I have made two changing on my system to get better speed with the 8.761 drivers
    In the BC2 settings file, change the RenderAheadLimit=0 (default is 2)

    However; BC2 is the buggiest game I ever have played with a lot of crashing to the Desktop.

    To reduce this, you can try to change the pagedpoolsize in the registry.
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management]
    "PagedPoolSize"=dword:18000000

    18000000 = 384 MB. The Default setting is 0.

    With these modifications, BC2 now runs very well with the 8.761 drivers.

    My system:
    Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate+SP1 beta
    Intel QX6700 OC to 3.33GHz
    4 GB Kingston DD2 RAM
    Intel SSD 160 GB G2
    ATI HD 4870X2
    HP w2448 HC monitor

    I read about that, too. But what I remember is, that they planned to make this change on future products, so maybe for the 6xx-series there will be a new X-fire bridge.

    But it is a modern myth, that the bandwidth of the X-fire bridge is insufficient.
    People posted, the bandwidth would be limited to 2500x1600.

    Trust me: This is not true! My 2x5970 X-fire bridge supports enough bandwith
    to give full load on 4GPU's in almost ALL games I own (DX9-11) @ 6000x1080.

    Accordingly a new X-fire bridge would bring to the 4xx or 5xx series no benefit.

    I seriously doubt that has anything to do with it.

    @Phyxion

    I made 1 modification for better speed with the RenderAheadLimit=0
    And 1 modification (PagedPoolSize) for reducing crash to desktop with BC2.
    PagedPoolSize has nothing to do with the speed in BC2.
    However, I do agree that the 10.5a is the best driver for BC2.

    I tried these and I get stuttering. :\ I'm fed up with these beta and modded drivers... I'm just gonna try the official 10.7's and stick with the official drivers...
