You need to install the version of the .NET Framework it was written in. Try installing version 2.0 and see if it runs.

Link to .NET 2.0 for you:

    Thanks for the reply pimp_pimp.
I forgot to mention that i use Windows 7 64, and as i understand Net Framework 3 is included in it, and i can't install vers. 2.
Also the version of framewok i have installed on my machine right now is Net Framework 4.

Install .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, and it should work.

EDIT: don't pay attention to the above, anyways try uninstalling Framework 4.0 [it'll roll back to 3.5.1] and see what happens.

    Anyways:

I un-installed Framework 4, but now the patch crashes with one of those "...the aplication stopped responding" errors.

I also ran the patch in compatibility mode for XP/Vista SP1 &2, just to try that thing too.

I also tried removing Net Framework 3.5.1 using "Program and Features/Turn Windows Features on or off" in control panel, but it can't be removed.

This is annoying. I tried installing the 1.3.0 patch and this one works! But it doesn't include the fixes and the new content from 1.2.0, so i guess thats pointless.

Is there any way to extract the contents of the patch, as it can't be installed?
I'm thinking i could convert the file which is .exe in to a .rar or .zip file, and then extract it's content. But i can't any program that does that.

There is another patch about 1gb big, i played the beta but never played the retail.
And totally forgot about this game, someone mentioned in the homefront thread that
it's from the same makers of Frontlines Fuel of War, so i took a look at the game. It looks still pretty good for 2007 game. And it's only $9,99 on steam, me and my friends we're looking for a decent game to do.
