    Haha. What I mean by properly is that it does not crash and works without any hitches. The WHQL it seems does not always test for this, but only tests whether it can install and run on your system.

    WOW i lose about 20-30 fps with this drivers hahaha. Far cry 2 all max out with full aa8 at 12801024 with the 256.86 drivers, solid 40-60+, now i am getting 20-35fps, horrible drivers. Uninstalling now.

    Dude...the reason I said the latest WHQL, is because its the latest driver out by nvidia period. It's the same driver as the BETA listed on their website. Think about it. I was talking about the current situation, not a religion, geeze.

    I don't care about the WHQL logo either, but the CURRENT situation is, it's the SAME driver as the BETA listed on Nvidias website. Get it? Got it? Good!

    So all you trolls back off and have a nice day!

    What did you expect? It's a developer driver, and that means it's a BETA! (In this case, Very Beta.) Never mind the WHQL logo.

    Bottom line: It's not ready for end users.

    Why?

    Not really...

    DriverVer = 07/24/2010, 8.17.12.5909

    DriverVer = 07/09/2010, 8.17.12.5896

    BTW - I didn't mean to offend you I was attacking Microsoft's meaningless WHQL certification but now I really don't know what you were trying to say.

    For me and my Race Sims it's the best driver I tried. Very smooth, good performance and looking good.

    I'm using these drivers with good success. I look at it this way NVIDIA wouldn't have market share if they cant get developers to support their hardware. They want to put their best foot forward so these drivers may be the best thing since quadro. At least thats my perspective.

    I gave these drivers a go yesterday afternoon and found that MPC-HC didn't work with them. Video was extremely choppy (only tested EVR Custom and VMR9). Since the 258.96's work well for me I didn't waste any time reinstalling.

    I tried these drivers out, I kinda like them =) they work decently, didnt notice any performance loss nor decrease either. They are a bit smoother than the 258xx ones as well =)

    It's the latest driver put out BY NVIDIA for the general public. When you do the standard driver search on their page, for both BETA and WHQL.
