Yip..it's the real deal of what is becoming Cat10.8..... the .2 after 8.76 means the driver has been revisited to add/includes any recent hot-fixes/profile-fixes. infact, it's probably the final.

    big thanks to rflair.

Damn, this is the first problem i have with a beta ever.
It won't let me use the max supported Hz by my Monitor :(

what Hz are exposed. Have u tried a reboot?

Edit : Is your monitor still being detected as a Plug and Play. You could try - in the Device Manager, expose all Hidden Devices, then uninstall all listed monitors. If asked 'do you want to uninstall the driver' - don't. Reboot and let Windows re-detect your monitor/s

    I should list: 60 and 70
    It only list 60

    Tried Reboot. Same deal.

Yep, the monitor is detected as PnP. But, it always been like this.

Tried what you suggested, same deal.

I went to CCC and in Monitor Properties, I unchecked "Use Extended EDID" and forced the Res and Hz.
    Same deal :(

But i can't balme ATi. This is a beta, I hope that finals fix this.

ahh - you are using a VGA conection. This has been a bit of an issue with the 5 series and VGA connections not exposing refresh rates above 60Hz.

best solution would be to add the desired resolution and refresh rate to the end of 'DALNonStandardModesBCD2' in the .inf file.

Exactly. I forget to tell this.
I changed all of the DALNonStandardModesBCDx values with the ones of a previous working drivers in my Hz range.
I will reinstall the drivers now and tell you if it worked.

    Thanks!

I have been... thought I would test out these but no crossfire above 10.5 hotfix .. Just tried BFBC2 and performance was dismal. Tropics Demo benchmark was around 90 fps but now only 35. What the hell is going on over there at ATI.

Just tested them. Image quality seems nice but I lost a few FPS I wasn't expecting. Also, clock speeds are always at 850/1200, they don't go back to the idle ones anymore? (nothing overclocked, 1 single card).

    @Rik
    Nah, it didn't work either.
I will give up and continue the usage like this till WHQL are release.
I just hope this problem is for the beta only. Otherwise :puke2:

No problems here with the clock speeds.
    They idle like they should.

I played NFS Shift, noticed some drop in FPS (about 5-10 or so) but image quality seemed a notch better (same settings in drivers and ingame as before, I double checked).
Left the game, no other app using 3D acceleration. Both CCC and GPUZ report speeds locked at 850/1200.
Posted it here and went try Dirt 2. A small loss in FPS too.
Left it and checked speeds again. This time they went back to 157/300... weird.

Anyway, anyone else noticed FPS loss?
