There was me thinking the drivers were imminent because VLC Player v1.1.1 had just been released and it needs Catalyst 10.7 in order for the video acceleration to work. Seemed a bit pointless releasing an update to add something that can't be used for another week.

    Oh well.

    I doubt 10.7 has any BF:BC2 performance enhancements anyway so I guess I don't care :3eyes:

Think they will focus on SC2 since a 460 was beating 5870 in some of the tests :wanker:

Whatever. No performance improvements are expected, so why bother. I'm doing perfectly fine with 10.6 for now, it's the first time I use whql on a regular basis since december 2009 (Hemlock XT beta) :p

Because you have to wait a few days for your monthly WHQL driver update? Wow... :bang:

So your expecting them to pull better performance out of their ass? The 5 series has been out for awhile now, it's not like they can magically give you a performance boost in any number of games just to satisfy you.

I hope this extra time (from early release of 10.6 to late's 10.7) would be used to give us stable and bugfree drivers.

And please, working CFX Profiles for Blur!

    Who care's?

They'll probably just break something again so then people can clog up forums until next month with "Why is this broken? Why isn't this fixed-AGAIN?"

I wouldn't hold my breath because ATI's idea of CrossFireX support in Blur (to prevent the water slowdown bug) was to disable CrossFireX all together and force the game to run on ONE card only!!! That's exactly what they did with the 10.6 WHQL drivers (and how they "fixed" the CrossFireX flickering issue with Saints Row 2 too)! :3eyes:

I wasn't pleased and I voiced my anger at this via their Catalyst Feedback Form.
