Sounds like your gfx card is partially damaged, unless fresh reinstall of windows helps here.

These drivers seem much more stable, but the Performance/Quality are about the same as the last drivers.

Overall, I think these drivers are a keeper!

BTW... I have a GTX 260 216 Core Nvidia card and an 8800GTS 640 MB XFX

NV are certainly doing something right with the 25X series drivers. Even my two 9800 got a very notable performance increase. These are the fastest drivers ever on my system.

Anyone try these drivers with Fallout 3, do they fix the stuttering, without having to turn down some of the settings?

I currently use the 186.xx drivers, but some of the newer games complain about the age of these drivers each time I run the game.

The fallout 3 stutter bug is still there. With the drivers beyond 186/188 I have to lower water multisampling down to low to get rid of the stutter and it runs extremely smooth when I do. Just can't downgrade to older drivers just for one game.

I have had that problem for as long as I can remeber, I have FA3 modded to the shizniz with every x10 draw distances etc... it stutters the same with that as it did by default, and I was screwing around the other day...I turned off AA....stuttering gone, smooth VATS...I think you should give that a go, sure no AA sucks, but it's better than rolling back to a driver that will gimp 90% of your games by 25% performance ( more for L4D )

    EDIT:

Has anyone tried a profile for bioshock/2 because those 2 games break all my profiles and I have to reinstall, I can set any profile and have it work, but the second I even add the BS1/2 exe to the profiles list...bye bye profiles, it even breaks global propeties... I have the new driver downloaded buy i'm not keep for 5 reinstalls to try to get it working because of 2 games

Then you might want to upgrade cause it has the splintercell conviction sli profile on board...:)

Interesting, try putting water sampling up and lower shadow detail to medium, thats what fixed my stutter.

Thanks Warpy for giving me advice on the shadow quality setting. I tried it and it's still stuttery even with water multisampling to high. as soon as I turn it on low all is dandy weird. I wish this problem was fixed with these newer drivers. Hope they don't do this to Fallout Vegas.

one thing i noticed is right before going into game where you make weapon selection for BFBC2 it just shows a gray background behind your weapon selection i went back to 257.21 for now other than that i think the driver is rock solid on my BFG 260 GTX OC Maxcore SLI setup

Still problems with profiles going missing. If for example Farcry 2 or Avp3 is set to enhance AA in te profile. The next time you open the cpanel it's gone.:bang::bang:

i dont get it, why do u have so much problems with profiles..?

i edit my profiles too, but they dont get messed up or dont save...
here they get saved and work flawless...even when i open the control panel 10 times or boot 10 times...

    anyway, nice drivers..good performance...
    will bench a lil later...

got a good 2FPS boot in unigine heaven 2.1 (39.9 up to 42.4), and BFBC2 seems a little faster too, but i dont have a repeatable benchmark for that.

havent checked the flash player problem yet, but i used to get it with media centre as well, so ill give it a try in a minute
