    Install the driver :)

You can use GPU-Z like he is to make sure it is working properly. But other then that you do nothing.

So its been a few days now......where is the WHQL links that actually make this a legit Driver from Nvidia? IMO this is just another Beta until it becomes a Legit WHQL .

I've just edited the profile for Jedi Knight2:Jedi Outcast (all time fav game) and played the game to test if the changes worked. I went back into NVCP and the option for the game was gone! WTF, I unticked the only show programs found on this computer box to manually add it but it wasnt there either!! thats odd i thought, so I hit the Global settings tab and saw base profile in Global presets. Thats new i thought so I hit Global presets and my missing jk2sp and jk2mp profiles were in there. :vader:

    WORSE THAN PREVIOUS DRIVERS

If you are playing BFBC2, do not put those drivers because the whole game goes wacko. Quarter of your monitor gets mirrored ( don't ask me how this is possible, its like that). Also there is no explosions or smoke, the background mountain picture is missing, so the whole game a gray field instead of background picture. Reverted back to 257.21 - best driver so far for FERMI.

If you play only Crysis Warhead, that game runs perfectly normal with these 258.

It's a OpenCL developer driver not BETA an unlikely candidate for WHQL. Laptop Video needs to clean up their act and stop with the misleading info.

Eh? Seems like it says "This is the driver from OpenCL v1.1, mentioned earlier." on the post with the drivers and earlier post is titled "NVIDIA OpenCL v1.1 drivers 258.19 available to developers". Not sure where the misleading info is.

WHQL is nothing more than a paid for certification and one that may not live up to its name based on the previous fan/overheating debacle.

Its also worth noting that there are WHQL drivers posted from both OEMs and Nvidia themselves. Using an OEM driver that was WHQL certified on a device other than the one it was specifically intended (with modified INF) is basically no different than using any other Quadro, or Developer driver with no WHQL cert. (Beyond the signing inconvenience on 64bit systems.)

    -

I have noticed that beyond the newer OpenCL and Cuda this has the proper files for video encoding where 258.49 does not.
