Well after rebooting the puter my nVidia settings are gone. Seems to be no way for me to save profile settings with 257.21 release.

    Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Is there a solution other than using another release version?

    W7 x64 and GTX295

Heh, after installing these drivers and a restart (from 197.77), I was just casually using my PC opening some windows when suddenly the Aero theme turned off (Windows 7 x64).

Then I noticed that the temperature in EVGA is spiking up to 74 from the usual 59-64 (when PC is on for days).

Needless to say, went back to 197.77 faster than the speed of light. I was hoping to give Alpha Protocol a try on the new drivers but meh, game runs fine maxed out without issues on 197.77 anyway (though I noticed new drivers had a profile setup for the game, but probably useless SLI profile).

heh maybe but I now use the x86 version set to VMR9(windowless) and haven't had a problem since. (Before was using x64 ver set to EVR Custom Pres.)

That's just WAT, isn't it? The "Windows Experience Index" thing that runs on the background sometimes.

I also have the stutter guys... Every 10-15 minutes of gaming it stutters for like 10 seconds and than gets normal. Im using MSI AB for clocking and i have it set up to monitor my stuff but those settings were fine with previous drivers...

It's not throttling cause my card temperature doesn't go more than 75 degrees while gaming...

These fail to install, never had that with a Forceware driver. It stops with a mention that it cannot install the control panel, and will roll back to the previous working driver.

I've run driversweeper in safe-mode, after I uninstalled the drivers, cleaned registry in safe mode, disabled auto-driver update and it keeps running into this problem.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

After I installed this driver for my evga gtx 295, the EVGA voltage tuner icon stop showing in taskbar. Even if I manual open it, EVGA voltage tuner 1121 still not show up in my windows 7 ultimate, but it still have a process in windows Task manager. Is there anyone got the same problem with me?

And my pc have freezes while playing Bad company 2. It is totally fine with 257.15 International.

All this stutter talk has put me off. I think I'll keep 197.45 which have been really good.

I Agree with you, IQ and fps are faster for me than any other drivers
    in this serie.

I can now OC 675 Mhz(Stock 625Mhz) without any problems in every game i run, all full open, in -game and nvidia cp.
And no overheating, temp stays below the 85 deg.C.

    For me keepers.

Same here disappearing profiles from installed and global games list. Anyone figured a work around. Re-installing the driver is getting old. Apparently Nvidia has changed the way the profiles work.

I have only seen and read two methods of fixing the missing profiles.

For some clean installs of the driver fixes it (which did not work for me).

And for others, you go to your "Manage 3D Settings" section, goto the "Global" tab, change ONE setting there (any of them), then click the link AT THE TOP that says "Restore Defaults" (not the button that says restore).

The second method worked for me, though I only tried it on the 258 Quadro's.

OK, I'm gonna try it then. if it's no good I'm going back to previous. I just wanted to avoid the hassle (lazy me). :p

So far the whole 2xx.xx series of drivers have been the WORST drivers i have used in a very long time.

Star Trek Online: Tendency to go wonky with flickering shadows, messed up textures and absolutely refuses to work properly after switching between full screen and desktop.

Crysis: Save game snapshots end up completely distorted.

Other various games: 2D features in particular like world maps end up all corrupted and messed up.

    Back to 197's for me.

Is there any way to save profiles in the 200 series driver releases when using a GTX480?

Screen-freezes in World of Warcraft are gone for me with these drivers.

    Edit:
    OS: Win 7 Professional, 64-bit.
