After yesterdays leaking of NVIDIA 256.76 drivers today sees yet more leaking of information. This time its the GTX 465 pricing and availability that is currently under NDA. Our NVIDIA informant tells us that a branded card could be expected to sit at £259.99 INC VAT. But with the exchange rate being quite sporadic at the moment, this could change slightly.

With regards to availability. Stock will be in the UK this coming Monday - availability is set to be a lot better than previous NVIDIA launches. In particular Point of View have a rather large shipment coming over to etailers in the UK.

So basically the card is finished and ready for launch, is it based on GF100 or GF103? Wish some leak on the 480 refresh would pop out...:O

Sounds as if they figured they could beat ATI in this price class with a slightly weaker, easier to produce card and are going to do it. Makes sense, considering they were planning on stopping the 470GTX production.

Because they are faster, have more technologies such as 3d, physx, cuda, and ray tracing, which are awesome by the way, and because traditionally they have had much better drivers. Thats why so many people buy nvidia. I dont get why there has been so much hate for them lately.

what i think is that people are pissed off about the delay of the GF100, and then the power and heat of the GF100, but i really am happy with nvidia comin out with a brand new architecture :D

Well they are late six months behind competition and release cards that are silly overpriced, hot and not even a bit faster than ATi.

Dont get me wrong i am nVidia fan but lately i hear nothing but disappoint from "Green machine"

Heh looks like it's a GTX 465 flashed with a 470 bios. Hence why it says its a 470 with 1024mb.

It is down right silly to say "People buy Nvidia cards because they are faster" come on man.

You are mistaken, the gtx 470 here costs on average at least 300 quid. Even taking into account the tax differences we always pay more in UK/EU.

Anyway, as this card is aimed at med-high level users, we can assume that those people are or will be aware of the 465's performance and for that price, you'd have to be dropped from birth to buy one.

It has got to match the 5850's price otherwise I for one would not buy one (I need an upgrade for my 4850).
