Agreed.

Shame on the radeon (5850) driver support team.
On single configuration the 5850 beats the 470 usually, but when it come to SLI/Crossfire, Nvidia wins big time!

I hope ATI is aware to the situation and working on solution...

 

^ ATI has never been about outright beating Nvidia's performance. They've been about matching Nvidia's performance while undercutting them in the process.

I’m quite surprised, the P score in 3DMark Vantage is quite low, is this with the PhysX turned off because I’m getting 27,250 on my 3 WAY SLI GTX 260 and also in CRYSIS I’m getting around 86 fps (1600*1200-4xaa-detail high) so what’s the big deal about these new cards, is it DX11 because they perform very bad in metro 2033 or they need a much more powerful CPU to push data to those hundreds of cores, I think we need to see the same test but with the Intel Core i7 980x Extreme over clocked to 4.3 GHz, I can’t understand way Guru are still using the Core i7 965 @ 3750 MHz and it will be interesting to see the what the six cores of the 980x can do.

 

I totally agree, i'm so curious about 980x+470/480 SLI performance.

TRI-SLI 470 gets under 60 frame AVERAGE in metro with no MSAA...

I'm avoiding that game for sure, I never want to play another crysis-at-launch type game again, it destroys my enthusiasm for pc gaming when games run that bad.

atm i'm only playing games that run well, but if a game takes that much $ and power to run then it isn't worth it.

Bodar comeon man time to strap the 980x and tri sli those gtx480 and hopefully less of cpu bottleneck and see what it can really do

 

Yeah, but I also wonder about Phenom II X6 performance with 470/480 SLI (especially when heavily OCed). It would be great to compare 980X+470/480SLI VS Ph II X6 +470/480 SLI, just to see if 980X is worth 3x Phenom X6.

 

I'd really like to know if nvidia cards are better for supercomputing than ATI cards are. Wasn't that really the point of the new design of the 400 series? So it could do other stuff better, not just graphics? Let's see a comparison review of computational stuff instead of gaming stuff, just to see if they made any headway in this area.

 

But i thought the 890x maxi from ASUS could do both SLI and CF. ?

 

Yeah, me too...i was convinced that it's possible to run SLI and CF on 890x??

Well, my mistake...I was wrong, it seams it's not possible, altgough there are mobos that can run SLI and CF but with Intel chipset. Too bad, I would really loved to see how heavily OC-ed Ph II X6 performs with two or more VGA cards...
