How do you kill someone with sniper rifles? I decided to open all weapons in each class. I finished assault, engeneer, medic and now started recon. I cannot kill anybody. I do not play on Hard Core server. Now I have M24 and when I shoot I could see sometimes (but very rear) that I hit the tatget. It does not die. By the time it is reloaded the person is gone.
Do you have any hints?

 

You need to lead accordingly, each rifle is different so it's just a matter of trial and error.

 

His point is your one of those that makes the game absolutely ridiculous to play

 

Compensate for target movement speed and bullet drop. Focus on the bullet drop aspect. Try not to waste your ammo on a moving target, even if you get lucky sometimes.

 

You could just use one of the universal weapons as recon, like the Thompson, G3, or one of the shotguns. You could also spawn as recon and pick up another kit right away. This will add points and gain unlocks to your recon class without having to snipe, that is if you would rather not snipe..

Isla Inocentes and the first attack point on Port Valdez are good to practice sniping either as defense or attacking. Watch the hills for enemy snipers or people manning the stationary weapons...they are easy targets. It gets easier once you unlock the 12x glass. Remember that you can watch your shot more closely by clicking and holding the fire button. This will leave you zoomed in until you release it and you can watch your bullet fly and see how you need to compensate. Don't forget that you can shoot through soft barricades like wood fences and still get headshots. Don't bother with anything other than headshots unless you have someone running towards you from a distance and have time for 2 shots.

I believe you can also unlock points by picking recon and then picking up someone's kit from the ground and using that...not totally sure on that though.

 

The bullet drop is probably throwing you off. It's nearly non-existent with normal weapons but really severe with sniper rifles. Just aim a bit above your target.

They nerfed those weapons and i'm still playing them because i like them.

Actually pump-action shotguns > M60.

I started playing shotguns now, more like NS2000 which are far better than M60. Anyway M60 sucks now , both T88 and MG36 are better,i just like M60 more, heavy feeling about it

People should stop whining about people using certain weapon and start playing.
All i see in-game is bunch of whining kids who cry when they get owned too much , and when they have good stats they are allround happy.

 

I would like more maps tho...
