The first home benchmarks of GTX480

no phsyx.

 

Yeah, 76c for 100% fan speed isn't that great, and no better than before.

I'm more interested in how hot this card gets when the fanspeed is on Auto.

 

I agree.. thats awful. 4890,nv280,5870.. I never have to touch the fan. And to keep that at 70 with 100%fan..

 

yeah we all know in 3dfm benchies it will be a sea of green with a red dot or two.


i wonder if they have an xp(dont give me sht)driver?

I can get almost 20,000 on a qx9650@4 and a 295 @675/1512/2400

 

Sounds dissapointing for the benchers, but for the gamers it should be good. Maybe Nvidia can optimize the later drivers give better scores.

 

its just vantage that is not up to snuff all the rest it will take down anyother single cored card no sweat

he supposedy got a 980x at 4.4 with that score. maybe newer drivers will help that score go up. his cpu score is mad crazy. I get 45,000cpu score with physics on

 

i play vantage as a hobbie,i meant the driver is not up to snuff.

I bugged the op in the evga forums to run vantage with no physics. he kept posting vantage with physics enabled. I see why he didnt wanna post vantage with no physics. the score is pretty much not an in your face new gpu family score

non overclocked 5970 im a liittle let down with all the hype of the 480 and tessellation

 

5970 is a dual 5000 series GPU card....

People that are comparing the 5970 to the 480 also need to remember the 5970 retails @ 700usd and up currently.

IMO the best buy is going to remain a manually overclocked 5850.

i have no clue what clock i'm at but it said 810 shader to start which aint right
scores and temps thuogh 1 loop of 06 with r/t monitorig open
the ram moves with the shader/core? color me clueless:wanker:



i moved it up a tad check out the idle temps lol supercharged air but i think the oc kicked out

its overclocking i see my scores go up but? still have not pushed it much though.
i need rest i'll try more later
