I did quick tests like I've been doing for that past few drivers and they don't seem any different then the last, given these are just quick tests where I load the game and stay at the same spot and check the min and max fps. Settings are set to what I play the games at basicly highest I can go and still get enough fps to play. Didn't have Assassins Creed 2 or Just Cause 2 when I tested the other drivers.

Looks like these are keepers for me! YAY! These have crisp textures typical of Quadro drivers(man they look great!), no MPC-HC stuttering, & performance similar to some of the best Geforce drivers. These deserve another, YAY!

for me they're the same as 197.25, maybe a bit slower.. 1-2fps.

well how odd, i gave the drivers a spin.

Fallout 3 hitchings are completely gone in the places where they used to happend.

also the 3 to 10 fps loss with the 197.xx drivers are gone, now framerates are back to normal.

there is one problem though, i notice strange corrupted shadows in NFS Shift, but all other games work perfect, these are probably the best drivers i had since the 186.18 whql.

quadro drivers eh, apparently they rock for me, CUDA is available according to GPU-Z, also the Gpu-Water in Just Cause 2 works fine so cuda is working fine.

i did some tests with just cause 2. not much of a difference except 197.28's image quality was a little lower IMHO because the 186.18's handled anti aliasing much better for some reason.

EDIT: BTW i ran this at stock clock for my gpu to make i standard. but i did run it also at 602 core 688 core and 700 core clock speeds. those are my stable over and underclocks.

EDIT: no cuda or anything in 186.18 tho, so no fancy water

You got a little better fps with the 197.28 under the same settings EXCEPT for you have GPU water now and on, so if it was off you would see more of a difference in fps.

Played AC2 for awhile and didn't run into any issues they running same fps wise as the past few, as for EVR it works fine for me though I don't know what it really affects with video just know it doesn't stutter anymore. I never used it since I see no difference with it when watching anime and thats what I watch most of the time using Media Classic Player Homecinema.

i use VLC so this EVR for media player classic dosent really effect me. i'ma reinstall this driver because i like having the gpu water and such in just cause 2.

    argh....

after hours of testing i found out that they STILL HAVE THE EVR ISSUE...
but its only happening mostly when im on the second monitor..
when fast forward the movie its pixelatet and ends in an freeze sometimes with an BSOD.. :( i even tried using MadVR filter but same thing...so i turned Custom EVR of again, cause these drivers are nice.

i do hope that Nvidia will fix this very fast...
i asked them weeks ago in the forum and an admin said, it will be fixed in tha next release, but i dont no anymore what the next release is or if ots allready out..

i need my EVR cause picture is way better, i can use shaders taht are essential for me and that free resizing is needed to..but without an working Custom EVR this things wont work..shame on them ;)

but at least , these drivers really perform very well quality wise...BFBC2 runs a lil smoother in heavy actions.

anyway, im looking forward to tha "next release" lol

These fixed the crashing in Dragon Age when using the Steam overlay with the UI Beta.

    My previous drivers were 197.25.

I really don't know what this EVR ISSUE is. I have never had any problem with the EVR custom setting ever. I use Media Player Classic - Home Cinema to play all video and audio types. If something doesn't play correctly I use FFDSHOW to decode the video or audio. that's all i ever needed to play video and set it to EVR custom in the settings. My friend has the XFX GeForce GT 210 with the 197.13 drivers installed and EVR costum works with out any problems.

So I wonder if it the sound card or drivers that that maybe causing the problem and not the video card or drivers.

i also never had that i use KMplayer with build in decoders/encoders and i dont need any xvid, divx, etc.. crap it also supports kvm formats, i just hit play and presto..for video render i use VMR9 renderless with HQ subtitles..

i just saw it has EVR too, but i always preferred VMR9 instead it makes better picture..

its like it is..some one like it this way and others that way..
i LOVE C EVR cause it gives me more options..
and yes its THE DRIVER, cause Nvidia allready gave an statement on it.
so its not sound card or whatever..
what evr settings do you use?
maybe u using different ones and thats why you dont have an problem..
see, with Vista/EVR or no EVR you cant Crop the Picture like you want. or use shaders on the Player so you make the picture sharper or whatever, i even do my own shaders..
and if i select DX9 renderless i only see half of the picture in the video.

    thats what i select :

no matter if i use Custom evr or the new EVR sync same error . try using resize when you play an xvid file with the numpad..well see whats happening^^
i do not have any problems with WMV, MKV, HD, ETC..only Problem is Xvid and AVI videos..worst case is BSOD..

and please dont say, ahh F**ck MPC HC use VLC etc etc..if you wanna use VLC thats fine, not me im fan of MPC since it came out years before VLC.
everyone uses that stuff that suits the most, right..

so, Nvidia will fix this in the next release, hopefully..
