lol any specific reason y? if just for gaming, get a phenom 720/955 + 5850/5870,

EDIT: just realised u'll use 3D animation, that will probs get some good use from a meaty processor like the i7 980x, so you could do that, way overkill tho

    i7 980x
gigabte x58a-ud3r (if bios supports the proccy)
    6GB DDR3 8-8-8-24 (maybe 12 if u find it all getting used)

shuld be a good baseline, not sure what a good gfx card for rendering would be, to be honest

Its kind of a waste to build another rig just for gaming when the one you got can do the stuff you already use it for plus can handle any game you chuck at it.

As was said. Just use your current rig..

But i suppose if you REALLY want to blow $2k on another PC that, IMO you dont need.

The 980x i7 is a very good build.

I vote against another build as well, just a waste of cold hard earned cash. Your rig can handle any game you throw at it. If you really want to go crazy, CrossFire another Radeon HD 5970.

Use your current rig. Maybe you can build a media HTPC if you have a nice HDTV.

That computer can almost handle any game @ max settings. Do you really want another one?
