Pretty conclusive then id say. Human = WIN http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1860/bear_fight/ Only bears can roundhouse
How many news stories have you seen that say 'Man kills bear' and how many have you seen that say 'Bear attacks and kills man'? You do the math! lol at muzzled and de-clawed!
You could muzzle\declaw, hell...even put a pink leotard on a small grizzly bear and it will still be able to kill any human unarmed if trapped in a room together. 1 time out of 5000 if the man is big enough to get on its backside and choke it (and be able to hang on) you might have a chance...but the bear is always going to win. lb for lb the muscle is multiple times stronger.
The fighter could gouge out the bears eyes, then when the bear is wondering around, sneak in cheap shots until it's on the ground. That's about the only real way though.
That would have to be one shrewd human to get close enough too gouge the eyes out, I'm gonna take the bear 99 times out of 100 to much brute force P.S. Great thread btw lol
The OP didn't base a grizzly bear vs an average human, but rather the strongest human. The strongest human is going to be taller, and heavier. The strongest human would probably have 300lbs of muscle. You guys keep forgetting.. Thumbs. Thumbs are excellent for gouging eyes, pulling ears, taking a hold of testicles. A bears fighting skills are based around its jaws and claws. Would you make a stabbing/slashing motion if you weren't holding a knife? A bear would. People with declawed cats, can observe that the cats still fight as if they still had claws. With increased muscle and weight, the strongest human's bone density would also increase, giving he does not suffer from disease. Bears aren't boxers, they don't know to go after the head or neck, the human would. The bear would be making mostly body shots. So unless this bear has been somehow magically trained in avoidance techniques(bears don't dodge punches) and targeted combat, the chances the bear will win are severely decreased. Don't underestimate the human body. Especially that of the strongest human. I'm going to leave it at that, Don't gotta agree with me, just gotta realise theres more than weight and strength to take into account.
They used to stage grizzly bear vs. bull fights in early California...Samson was owned by the famous John Grizzly Adams... never heard of no human doing that lol
300lbs of human muscle, animal muscle has more amino acids / more fiber strains, an 40lbs chimpanzee could crush your hand or your face by squeezing it. A 200lb chimpanzee is 8 times stronger than a 200lb man now put it into this perspective, 200lb chimpanzee vs a grizzly bear, I put my money on the bear. And going into instincts and tactics I'm not gonna trying to have that conversation because we're comparing humans to predatory animals (which we are but we dont use our bare hands) And saying all of this I'm comparing a weak bear to the strongest human in the world. What if you take a 1500lb grizzly (which btw is not the biggest but on the big size) to a 300lb man, all i gotta say is good luck and cya on the flipside, doesnt matter what kind of thumbs you have
Haha those bits made me lol :nerd: About the bear not going for the head or neck... Big cat's and other predators know to latch onto the throat to kill their prey, don't bears?
Even without it's claws the force of the impact of a bear hitting a man is going to be insane. If the bear hits the man's head you're talking about a serious concussion and possible death from one blow IMO.
This needs to be on the show Dealiest Warrior. It'd be a little different with 1 warrior being a bear, but still. I say a human could win. If you're talking about average bear vs average human...... bear.
