NVIDIA has kept praising its GeForce GTX 470 and GTX 480 graphics cards ever since it first mentioned them but, so far, hasn't given out any information to support that claim, hoping to surprise people at PAX 2010. This, of course, did not stop various leaks and reports from emerging on their own and, as such, whether NVIDIA liked it or not, the specs of the two graphics adapters made themselves known some time ago. The only thing left was for an actual benchmark to be performed, which seems to have finally been done. > Geforce GTX 480 TDP at 250W > Report: Nvidia GTX 480 to Have Disabled Cores Continued ...
:bang::bang: So many sites, recycling the same information, and trying to make an article out of it. I wonder how widespread it would get if i knocked up some slides in MS Paint lol.
Hmm, I think i will wait for Guru3D's reviews. But according to these charts GTX 480 is about ~40% or faster than 5870 in Farcry 2. Hard to believe till actual retail products come out.
Old news and fake benches. These have been posted before and declared fake.\ Wait till the 26th for Hilberts Review (Hopefully it's really the 26th). Then we'll see the real deal.
They are old, but they weren't proven to be fake, especially when we don't know what CPU was used. Considering the fact that omagama posted Far Cry2 comparison benchmarks using an i7 at over 4ghz on water, the Far Cry2 ones look pretty accurate for a 5870 if they were run on a system that had a lower clocked or even stock speed i7. The difference was only 8-9fps.
i found this CPU: Core i7 965 EE Stock Mobo: Asus Rampage II EXTREME RAM: 3GB DDR3 http://www.mobile01.com/topicdetail.php?f=298&t=1475786&p=1 http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=23032 _______ bottomline: Buswidth 384bit ???????????
Let's make this a Fermi new rumours thread then lol. http://www.brightsideofnews.com/new...ble-in-higher-volume-than-radeon-hd-5800.aspx Sure someone will end up making a seperate thread about the above though.
Summer news: Nvidia claim it's once again in control of pc graphics card market. Autumn news: Ati 6000 series; expensive, high TDP, only 10-15% faster than GTX480, dx11.1 doesn't impress upgraders. Users complain Ati has no innovation, relying purely on new dx to sell cards. Winter news: Crysis2 benchmarks released; users flock to Nvidia for 5-10fps advantage.
http://futuremark.yougamers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125009 Oh no, there is apparently problems with BFBC2 dx11 with fermi.
I hope it's as powerful as a 295 but with dx11. You're right though, that's roughly what fermi is supposed to be, but, with only 1 card.
