Hi, i'm new on this forum. I'm sorry for my english but i'm Italian. I want install Win 7 64 bit on my computer, but the BSOD don't allows me that. Now I have Win XP 32 bit, but I want Win 7 64 bit, because my configuration allows me to keep this OS. My configuration is Intel E8400 3Ghz 2 GB Ram XFX 9800 GX2 Anybody has created the last fixed driver for Win 7 64 bit? If yes, can you give me? Now I have the fixed driver for Win XP 32 bit, but I want Win 7 64 bit because everyone tell me that Win 7 64 bit is faster than XP 32 bit. Thank you very much.
Driver works great on my Windows 7 X64 system http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_winvista_64bit_197.13.html
BSOD? With 2GB I wouldn't consider Win7 honestly. Even at idle it takes about 1.6-1.8GB on my machine.
@ radical yea lol cause you have 8gb and it uses as much as it can.. @ OT 2gb is enough for now but yes with 4gb it would be better, anyway maybe its your gpu and wddm 1.1 driver (build in windows driver) issue..
2GB of ram will work fine, but 4GB would be better. 3way and quad SLi work better in windows 7. To be honest i don't think you will notice a difference with your system.
ok im not really sure what youre saying. if youre trying to upgrade from windows xp 32bit to windows 7 64 bit you have to do a full clean install, the upgrade wont work. and also you cant run the nvidia windows 7 version on xp, you have to download the windows xp driver here http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_196.21_whql.html or you can get the beta driver http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_197.13.html but of course if you have windows 7 (im not sure what os youre currently using, i got confused by your post) you can get those links right off the front page of guru3d
Yes sure I have Windows 7 64 running and installed this driver and never experienced any kind of problems like bsod's or others.
