Guys, I would like to know if i can adapt to the standard cooler 8800GTX in my 9600GT Follow the EVGA e-gerfoce 8800GTX. So, I could adapt it in my Video Card? :bang: Here's a link from my Video Card: http://www.xgcdb.com/pub/gc/xgcdb_point_of_view_geforce_9600_gt_r-vga150961-1.jpg Thanks ...
Nope, it will not fit. The position of the GPU on the board will not meet with the one on the heatsink. What's the point anyways?
I'm curious why would you want too? What's wrong with the stock cooler? And please think this through thoroughly before you trash a card:bang:
So I have a friend who has a 8800GTX but he said one day he called and turned off the computer 5 times, after which the board gave no more sign of video, I wanted to get him to try to get it to work again. But if it works I'll get the cooler because my stock is 70 degrees with playing NFS PRO STREET and COD MDW 2, and i have 3 additional coolers on my machine and an exaster.
theres too many caps in the way and the bolt pattern is not the same=you could not use the fan at all ,i wont say it cant be done but it would not work well after you did get it to fit just get a Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev. 2 it wont be that much cost even in brazil, but you will need a fan for it.
This is the problem. in brazil the cost is higher, but i was thinking that i could decrease the tempeture. So, i want to buy this cooler if i could put the standard cooler 8800GTX. See: http://www.spirecoolers.com/main/product_detail.asp?ProdID=759
improve your air flow in the case before replacing the graphics cooler. you be amazed at what you can do when cleaning and tidying the wires etc. oh and the cooler on the spire link wont fit its too long, your card is the short version of the 9600gt, a flower type cooler will fit that nicely.
I know it my friend, I organized the cables, and i changed the Thermal to Artic Silver 5, but i won 4~6 degrees. I want more, because i would like to make Overclock in my Video Card.
have i read right. youve 3 extra fans which are all being used as exhausts, that in itself will cause pressure problems you need the same ammount of intake as outtake[exhausts] you will find that your psu is also a exhaust so you have 4 exhausts, turn 2 into intake with the intake on the front/side of the case exhaust at the rear. in your case one fan at the back and the psu. then take temp tests again.
