Have you tried downloading the Direct X redis package and installing it to see if that will fix it?

This driver have back that EVR Sync playback bug with MPC-HC for me... .75 started with this bug, .86 was fine and now its back in this ones. I guess nVidia actualy have different branch for nvidia mobile and desktop, considering .86 was mobile version and didnt have it...

turns out my gpu is at stock clocks and only fan is manipualted through msi afterburner, i've no need for a few more fps and i can do without more heat :)

so that kind of rules that theory out unless they just dont like msi afterburner??

driver seems to work fine in assassins creed 2, just played for half hour or so an no poppin textures also shadows look much better

nope my dx is up to date, and it worked fine with anything but .75 and this one...

you saying it is working for you? or just suggesting it's user error?

lol. IQ doesn't change driver to driver. They're fixing bugs and improving performance.

IQ changes when they implement new levels/algorithms for AF and AA, which don't really happen often... occasionally they introduce new things like this for new architectures. Newer graphics cards capable of higher precision math also can bring better IQ.. but not driver to driver (unless of course there was some corruption bug to begin with which got fixed).

    No, latest is PhysX_10.02.22_9.10.0222_SystemSoftware.exe

Dowloaded the driver and do some heaven bench later in compare with 196.86 and 196.75.

I must admit I didn't like the IQ that much either. Textures all looked blurry and washed out.

Maybe yes, maybe not. As a matter of fact I didn't have any problems with 196.75, so as 197.13 was no improvement in performance I'm going back to the driver that worked better for me.

ok tested, temperature is exactly the same as the 186.18 and 196.34.

no problem here, installed new drivers and shows 4GB just fine.

with this said, these drivers are the WORST piece of garbage nvidia ever released, as much as 5 to 10fps loss in all games, no amount of Drive Sweeping, ccleaning etc helps, the buggy 196.75 had the same performance issue, the 186 to 196.34 were all fine no loss.

back to the 186.18 whql, best drivers ever for my GTX260 + w7 x64 :wanker:

I can't say I've ever noticed any image quality differences either between driver sets when using the exact same settings unless something like anisotropic filter is broken or something as did happen with one driver set I used. If the image quality reputedly goes from being fine in one driver set to 'terrible' in another then you'd think that everyone would notice? No?

    good, tnx

about IQ why not use high quality and set texture LOD to clamp in global 3d settings nvcp.. then you will have great iq no matter what lame optimizations that are done on quality mode.. i always use high quality and never noticed a impact cause of it and it looks sharper/ better too..

No offence but IQ does not change from driver to driver. This is ridiculous to even assume it does. I swaer guys here will complain about the sun being too bright if they could LOL
