I ran P95 and received a Fatal Error at round 9Hours 10. Worker 2 Stopped all others continued to run fine. Here is my set up at default AMD965 BE C3 3.4 @1.4 volts ( I CALLED MSI ABOUT THIS AND THEY SAID THIS IS FINE . 2600 on the HT link is extremely high, either upping the HT voltage which may not help at all or lowering the HT speed should help with your stability. I'd go with the latter, as I said that's an extremely high HT. Your NB frequency must be up there too as you can't run your HT higher than NB speed.
Yes my CPU-NB is @2600 I left the HT-Link at default in the bios I guess it auto adjusted to match the CPU-NB. What is a starting point on HT-Link Voltage??
I'd suggest lowering the HT Link to default 2Ghz which is in my opinion the best. By experience I can say that a higher HT Link speed then 2Ghz has an impact on system stability and performance even with higher voltages. For the CPUNB, I run it at 2.8Ghz with 1.35V. Did you raise some memory timings to get it work with 1T Command Rate or are these the default values?
I didnt change anything on the memory timings I left Voltage at default, My ram is pc38400. I set it via BIOS to 1:4 to get 1600mhz.
Your Ram is designed for Intel Platforms so it seems your MB did not set them right. Try running them with specified settings 9-9-9-24-2N @ 1.5V. I really recommend lowering HT Ling speed.
Failing after that long is almost universally a temperature problem.| Personally, I would call it stable, if it takes 9 hours of 100% activity across all cores, I think that's stable enough for me. But it's up to your uses/tastes. Still, temperature. I think your processor just hit that temperature where it wasn't stable at those settings, it just took 9 hours to get there. EDIT: Yeah, if that 54 was your max, then that's what I say the problem is. Phenom IIs are quite sensitive to temperature and really thrive in the high 30s low 40s. In the 50s though they can encounter stability issues. I think this is what caused Prime95 to keep operating normally after one core stopped. Once that core stopped, temperatures stopped increasing, so those cores were able to keep going at the lower temperature.
So are you suggesting that I run my Ram @1600Mhz with 9-9-9-24-2N? And lowering the HT-Link to stock...
You need to run your RAM at the clocks and voltage that is specified for the speed you have your RAM set at. Like my RAM is 8-8-8-24 2N @ 1.35v for 1600MHz. However some motherboards don't put out the specified power that you set, like mine. I had to bump it up to 1.425v for my RAM to run stable in Prime 95. edit: after looking up your board the voltage defaults @ 1.5v so all you need to do is adjust your timings.
