Geforce/ion driver release 196.34 beta

Great Drivers for me in W7 x64bit , I did a Fresh install of the OS installed this drivers and they work flawlessly on DiRT 2 , NFS Shift , SLI 100% working perfectly and overclocking too , no problems at all , awsome drivers and a must if you are running SLI .

Do there drivers have a working mass effect 2 SLI profile? The one in the .21 drivers was broken.

 

I tested the 196.21's and they were not bad but they felt slower then the 195.62's.
The input reaction time with the mouse (and I even found my keyboard slower) was not as good as with the 195.62's, I especially felt this in UT 3 and CoD MW2.

There was also stuttering in MW2 after a while which was totally the drivers since when I went back to 195.62 it was totally gone.

I'm guessing these drivers will be exactly the same.

Staying with the 195.62's until next driver, which will hopefully not take a full month again :/.

 

Works fine here. No physx control panel on/off here. Doesn't resolve Serious Sam HD intro tree shadows flickering. I did get rid of the problem a little bit by setting everything (cpu, gpu, gpu mem) to Ultra. Still not happy with it though. I can't believe Croteam chose that location as the first screen we see. Please see if you can fix it Nvidia!

 

Same here, i saw it in win XP with 196.21, i tried Fear combat and yea there was this input lag.. guess i'll stick with 195.62 for longer there.. im not gonna try these in win7 hell no, 188.43 are almost perfect in win7 for me.

 

Tested them yesterday. Same performance as 195.xx and 196.xx
Going to stick with 188.25

If you are running Aero + Vista/7, its not going to. I am on 188.25 and recently 186.15, it worked like that on both.

 

I keeping these drivers installed. I not having any issues with them in the games I play.

 

this driver got weird hitch-ups in vantage and the RE5 benchmark terrible driver if u ask me, going back to 191.07 @ Vista ultimate

 

iveused both 196 drivers on mw2 and not suffered any hitch or crash or anomally whatsoever so maybe something else in your setup , with 195.62 i had the downclocking uin game issue with mw2 apart from that any driver from 191.00 upwards with mw2 has been perfect

 

i have also ran fc2 bench with drivers since 186.18 and found they are all within 1 fps on my set up that seems a large drop to me cant see the drivers losing so much performance

 

I did not make it up. I could post screen shots but I did not learned how to do it yet.
Another thing is that maybe dual GPU cards like 188.xx drivers more.
Before thit set my favorite was 186.91. Was best performance vs any 19x.xx at that time.

 

I do not use SLI, but I can also confirm that the 19XX drivers have worked just fine for me using all of the games mentioned.

 

I guess maybe it is just my rig then. On my system I always have high FPS with any drivers including 195.xx and 196.xx but smoothnest is something different. Do not know how to explain but there is a huge difference when I play with 188.xx drivers vs 195.xx or 196.xx. But of course if people find the perfomance is good with 196.34 it is great. We all have unique in some way machines and find the best set just take time to test.

Do either 186.91 or 188.25 fix alt tabbing delay and display scaling not sticking compared to 186.18?

 

Anybody found a fix for the multiple monitor bug in these 196 series drivers? When I change the primary monitor to my TV so I can play a game on it the drivers turn off the video to the TV until I restart the computer and vice versa with my monitor. Super annoying!!!
