I can't run this Real Lifesis mod, it kills my Radeon HD 4850 lol.

Pretty much an HD5850/GTX280..? You run the game at 1920x1200, I presume?

yep, 1920x1200. a HD5850 would be much preferred over the 280 though.

alot of the issue is the memory in the video card needed to process such high res textures. we're talking about 2gb of upgraded textures (from 800mb i think).

i really wish there was a better way to tweek the depth of field blur though. to my knowledge it only has 3 values, extreme, normal, and off.

    ^ yeh with real-lifesis I found r_depthoffield = 1 to be best

I liked Real Lifesis but it does take a hit on the frames.

eh, i would like something in between 1 and 2, but alas.

i think 2 is better then 1 personally, because otherwise, the lack of aa really becomes apparent in the blur that happens. nothing is worse then blured jagges in my opinion.

Which resolution? I was able to play Real Lifesis TOD2 @ 1680x1050 with no AA at a consistent 24-25 FPS on my 4850.

To keep the DOF quality at 2, while removing the environment blur, use these cvars:

    r_depthOfField 2
    r_colorGradingDof 0

That's odd. Real lifesis shouldn't affect performance since its only a TOD modification.

the mod to me seems it looks alot better in resized pics. When i play it, i wasnt too impressed with the differences. But the game ran pretty much the same as before for me, something else is wrong with your setup, config or something.

the best mod for crysis IMO is the highres texture mods. but that combined with realifesis is plain amazing
