What about if it is cooled by a self contained water cooling system? Would it then be possible to yield such temperatures?

I'm banking on water-cooling-ready cards to be on the shelf from 1st month shipping. It's gonna happen for sure.

32x AA? Are they ****ing mad? What is the point? If you have enough power to do that, you might as well whack up the resolution to the point where you barely need any AA! 55c full load?

Frankly, I think the validity of these rumours are incredibly suspect. And that's the nice way of putting it :D

Why post if you have nothing to add? I made it clear it was a rumour, nothing wrong with that at all. Just noticed you have ATI cards, it is making sense now....

Hmm, that version is potentially 4months away, but, obviously worth the wait if it's going to be cheaper than GTX295.

Can't be true. That's just sick and would be the biggest performance leap ever.

But then again, if ATI rushed their cards and they actually aren't as fast as GF100. After all, they are getting older every day...

Less silicon is rarely faster than the one with more. For us, it'll be worth it for sure and we'll actually have a couple of games to play on it with :) Instead of just one, if that was a console launch it would have failed, just kidding! :p

I would actually be happy to see this kind of performance from fermi. It would be a win all around… Ati would be forced to drop their prices and I could pick up a second 5850… and all this damn BS would stop… Of course if Nvidia could actually produce benchmarks at this level why wouldn’t they have released them just to piss all over Ati’s 5800 sales? I would have waited for them and so would many others who currently own a 5800.. instead we got a picture of some guys ambiguous SLI setup with a goofy smile and a big thumbs up, I wonder where that thumb was previously?

lol agreed. This reminds me SOOO MUCH of the 2004 election with Bush/Kerry and the forum posts months leading up to the election.

I can't believe a video card release has the same effect on some people. lmao.

What? This is definitely more important thing than election somewhere over the ocean!
