Run any game for five minutes.Do not have MSI on screen display on .Exit game, take a screen shot of MSI monitor and post back.
Which game ? and Please remember, Crossfire(included X2) only work in Fullscreen mode. Any windowed mode will auto disabled 2nd GPU rendering. Also your CPU is E8650. a little bit low-end for 5970. You better have a quad cores GPU OC to around 4G to push 5970 performance.
If you had an Nvidia card on your system before, you should do a full format and reinstall the OS. Here is the correct way of install ATI drivers. What you need to do is: 1. uninstall all your drivers - reboot 2. Run Driver Sweeper 2.1.0 in Admin mode and sweep everything ATI - reboot 3. Delete all AMD and ATI folders from your OS drive - This will include \Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\ATI & Roaming\ATI as well! 4. Open up Task Manager, and you will see the first process as atiblahblah.exe. Open up the file location, end the process, and then delete that file along with the other 8-9 ati files right next to it. 5. Run CCleaner. Run CCleaner Registry Cleaner 6. Open of your registry -- regedit -- Navigate to LocalMachine\Software\Delete Every Folder ATI & AMD | Navigate to CurrentUser\Software\Delete Every Folder ATI & AMD 7. Open up Auslogics Registry Cleaner -- Click Advanced Scan -- Check every single box -- Click run and then clean 8. Logoff 9. Login 10. Install 9.12 Hotfix (forget 9.12 whql) - reboot 11. Reboot again 12. Install ATI Stream SDK 2.0 (non-beta) 13. Reboot edit: If you have AMD CPU, only delete ATI folder in registry.
It's the p35 chipset I had a friend use my second 5970 on his system and he only gets 40% usage on each gpu if that. you need a newer system to take advantage of the 5970.
If that cpu is at stock then it would explain some of it but what games are you testing? what drivers do you have installed?
