    Good for you.

So why aren't you sending your money my way? I have inside information from all the best scientists in their field that suggests you should.

    Really.

    Really really.

    With sugar on top.

That doesn't mean it's wrong or that they can just slap a 512-bit interface on the die instead of 384-bit. It's not that simple. Quote "authoritative report or guide".

That fact that it's broken is actually hilarious, good show. :)

Do tell me though, are you just trolling for fun or do you really fail to understand how that has no impact whatsoever on the current argument?

either way a whitepaper isnt necessarily indicative of what the product is to be :)

so again you cant say for certain anything regards fermi atm. i dont disagree that it might be what nvidia says it will be...

however atm it's all speculation until we get concrete launch date and specs. until that's posted from an official nvidia source and not some guy's pics on twitter we are none the wiser. :)

Goliath182, you should of expected this, you specs state you have the top ATI card, but your first ever post states that all the far fetched Fermi benchmarks are true.

It does look very much like an Nvidia fanboy trying to add some credibility to those benchmarks.

I'm not saying your lying, since i have no proof of that, but im also not willing to believe you, since i will be cynic until a respected site reviews one, ideally this site and HH.

Those are the official specs from Nvidia. From the official white paper. Off their official site. From the official page for Fermi. Are you even reading?

Yep got her running right now. I actually used to be a Nvidia fan boy before I started reviewing, but you know how the fanboyism goes in reviewing haha, so I dropped that and actually am quite satisfied with ATI. My last Nvidia card was a 275, and drivers kinda sucked just like on my 8800 GT. Gotta say ATI drivers aren't made as well, but I dont have as many issues with them.

Was going to post up some benchmarks tomorrow actually. Posted up some pics in one of the system threads around here forgot which one.

Then its off to test 5770 Tri-fire :( ugh im gettin sick of all these damn cards lol.

We're talking about the bar-graphs posted previously that alludes to the top-end Fermi cards being twice as fast in actual, in-game, tests as the 285 and some 40% faster than the 295.

I'm going to ignore the comparisons to AMD cards fully as such comparisons are always a little sketchy anyway.

A 100% actual performance increase between generations isn't impossible, of course, but it's quite implausible given the history of GPU development and the kind of complexity the new chips have.

Thus it's unreasonable to accept any such claims unless there's a solid, meaning a verifiable and trustworthy, source for them.

aye boyo. not been impressed with nvidia marketing tactics as of late.

at least that's how i see it. but i can understand they want to maintain their market share.

question is will their next cards deliver. biggie for me is will ati slip another gpu/s launch in before nvidia.

    that could hurt!

Larabee is dead... Officially DEAD. No discrete GPU from Intel. Sorry, you should read the news once in a while.
