Its better than a kick in the balls, which is the sort of thing it sounds like you'd do to a vet, or someone in a turban. I had this game ordered before this, and the only saddos are the people complaining they can't play their silly little clan matches now. And you honestly think they donated 1m so some PC gamers would reconsider the game, they don't care about those gamers, they want a new more causal group of PC gamers, they probably done it to get in more 360 and PS3 sales though. How much have you donated, or did you gamble it all away.
It doesn't matter how much they gave them. It's the thought of it that counts. Even if it's for publicity, they still wanted to give them the donation. $1 million is a lot of money, and can go to good things. It's a great donation. I could probably only afford to give them $100 honestly, but that's still something that the vets would appreciate.
You're ****ing stupid. Veterans aren't just from Vietnam, Veterans are soldiers who fought in wars who aren't enlisted anymore. This includes any war in any country, including current wars now.
Lawlz, you've lost so now you're going to say some phrases towards me? Maybe you should learn before you post such ignorant bull****. Again, veterans don't just include WW2 vets.
just ban my account please and my ip im sick of some of the members here and this is obviously felt both ways.
Yes anyone in this thread who moans about the PC version of the game is a retard. Yes this is just publicity for the game but then who cares it is still a massive contribution to a good cause. So lets give them a pat on the back even if it is a hard one.
Whether its marketing or not it's still money that's going to an excellent cause. Fact is they could make more money and do nothing. I dont care that it doesnt go to brits as I think the u.s vets deserve all the money they get. Still doesnt mean I am likely to buy the game though Infinity ward!
They are going to get alot more than that, Imagine how much money they will earn with this game, donating 1 M is nothing compared to what they will get.
masterchiefx2 and vbetts, please stop it. I don't want to give you an infraction for insulting another forum member but if I have to I will. Please be really careful with your posts in this forum in the future. You already have two infractions. Your third one is only this far away: || You really seem to be a little bit "out of touch" in the last few weeks/months.
I will say i agree that this is just a marketing ploy, more likely to get the attention off of them for screwing over the PC gaming market, 1M is good, and great for them doing that, but i'm not going to "forgive" them for screwing over the PC market until they give us what we deserve Let me make it clear though i am in no way saying the vets do not deserve the money, so i fully support them and give thanks to them donating money, but in reality anyone can do something horrible and try to mask it up with donating money
who gives a $hit, they are doing it so they look better now because of all the mw2 drama.. end of story.
while i do think it is a ploy to boost sales it is a nice gesture, but i would rather just go donate 50 bucks to charity than let any of it fall into activisions hands . so i am going to go and do that right now.
I think that they know that they have somewhat lost PC gamers, but there isn't much negative rep from console gamers. Perhaps they are trying to boost their console sales ? Nicely done for veterans who aren't probably even heard about this company.
