any chance they fixed the black screen on startup that plagues some 48xx card users? I am one of them, the only drivers I have been successfully able to use are 9.7 and 9.8.

for some strange reason any driver including this ones doesn´t have the resolution 1440x900 in my 5870 and windows7.
the only ones that work fine are the Enzyme modded ones.
wtf has ati done with 5870 drivers? i hope they realy solve this out cause it´s the only resolution i use in desktop mode.

    DAME YOU ATI :flip2:

NGOHQ has a other version of this 9.11 beta. It has the same date, but there are som differences between this one the one on NGOHQ? Although the blank texture problem is still there in Borderlands, so that problem is on both versions?

that problem is on 9.11 by ATI.

this drivers creates problems in borderlands, occasionally a building will have missing textures and just be grey,, reverting back to official 9.10 fixes the problem

Hm, Borderlands, keep wondering about that game, but it sounds like it is in need of some patching.

I'm still having a great time with these drivers, so much so that I wonder if moving to any other driver will ever be worth it for my card.

With dx11 being added to vista as well, the dx10 games are all humming along something lovely!

Crysis and Far Cry 2 all performing some 20-30% better compared to 9.10 and directx10.

Anyone else noticing the dx11 joy for dx10 titles as well?

yeah the 9.11 was good driver, but im playin borderlands a lot so ill just have to wait till its official. the enzyme driver was good to so i think once thats got official 9.11 driver then ill use that again too.

btw, get borderlands it rocks, as i read somewhere " its fallout3 on steroids"

And with catalyst AI on in 9.10 WHQL, it doesn't do that. Therefore its a bug in Cat 9.11 beta's.

I run it on advanced in everything, no problems with 9.10 WHQL.

My WEI score is all over the place using these 9.11 Beta drivers, both Aero and Gaming were 7.4 with the reccomended ATI drivers, now with these Beta ones I get this, Although the performance does not seem to have suffered

Try the below settings, that solved the missing textures for me :)

If you're running Borderlands on a Windows 7 platform, chances are you aren't actually running the game in DirectX 10. Why? Who knows. However, ShackNews has a very easy fix that will switch to the DirectX 10 render path and a few tweaks that will give you more visual eye candy to gawk at.
    1. Go to the directory --> C:\Users\[Your user Name]\Documents\My Games\Borderlands\WillowGame\Config a. Find the file WillowEngine.ini (make a copy and rename it as a backup)
    2. Find the section [SystemSettings]

Change the following settings to True, you will see if you are currently in DX9 as well.
    - AllowD3D10=True (this is the key one to enable the DX10 render engine)

    Also change the following
    - MotionBlur=True
    - DepthOfField=True
    - Bloom=True
    - UseHighQualityBloom=True
    - FogVolumes=True

    Using UT3.exe fixes that problem.

Why do you do that? Advanced mode is for Crossfire setups and it degrades image quality as far as I know. (I read that, and it applies only on CF) If enabled, catalyst AI also screws up performance in NFS shift which works ~10% better with AI turned off...(this I tried my self with 4890 and 5850)

just turn that useless thing off and give it a try ;)

lol because it works, and it screws nothing up on this end.
