i had an update yesterday, platform update, so this is the same? cause i have the same - installer encountered a problem , data of this type not supported!
aye me as well...thought i was up-to-date. my dx version says ten still even though i did install the dx11 download that hilbert put in the news section awhile back.
Looking around the web, this download is the Platform Update that was available yesterday through windows update.
trying this when i get home. i wonder, is there any IQ difference on DX10 cards in DX10 or DX11 apps?

i thought WU doesnt update DX cause games and 3d apps already come with the version required so technically it really doesnt matter if you manually install it or not, the games will
