It seems like SHIFT loading times are a tad shorter with this driver comparing to 190.89.

Nothing more to add for now :)

I'd say so too but my hdd was idling both yesterday when I played it with 190.89 and now with 191.00 and loading times are shorter so hdd has nothing to do with it as the game is on the same hdd, same partition and i haven't ran any defragmenting software.

    Yeah strange, I know :)

Very good driver for me. I had too completely skip the 190 series drivers because of various bugs like the downclocking issue, or issues with Champions Online. This driver has none of the issues, and obviously works great with new titles like Batman. Definatly a keeper.

Play it on PS3, and problem solved. It's what I plan on doing.

To all involved. Thank you for your time to check these out. But, It still seems fishy to me and I have been burnt many times by alpha, beta, and non-WHQL drivers. I wont even d-load this one. But again, thanks guys. I appreciate the testing and time that you have so generously dedicated and posted about. This is a serious post btw. :)

Barely even looks like the same game on the PS3 though.

nvlddmkm, suppose its better to be safe, but i love testing new drivers, even if it messed up Windows, i'd probably still reinstall and try again with next beta ones.

I have done the same for some time. But after about 6 months ago, I realized that the WHQL drivers worked flawlessly compared to the guinea pig testing I was doing for alpha and beta drivers, I finally said Screw It. Now I read the posts and wonder how many driver developers are doing the same as I, you know? But I want to extend a many fold Thank You for the people that have taken up the flag!!!

Looks good enough on a Plasma HD TV. Whole point is to be able to play it smoothly.

Yeah, sure there is lots of us who risk breaking stable systems for half a frame a second more.

GhostXL, i got Fallout3 stable, just had to lower settings to bit lower than i usually did for a game that doesn't look that great, even maxed, but i did mod it a fair bit.
But suppose FO3 is a game that needs a fair bit of time to go through, and if your spending most of that messing about then...

gfx outlines looked sharper with these and no major issues in very brief tests on wow and lfs

creating new resolutions seems bit different, but as "show unsupported resolutions" is greyed out in w7, its useless anyway

    Crysis @ 1280x1024, medium, 0aa, 16af ( 4 Runs with each driver )

    190.62

    Min FPS: 76.85

    Average FPS: 99.36

    Max FPS: 122.48

    191.00

    Min FPS: 72.43

    Average FPS: 101.09

    Max FPS: 123.06

As you can see, slightly higher average fps in this benchmark. Everything else works fine. Auto fan speed finally fixed ! Good driver so far.

use the fallout 3 tweak guide, the stuttering occurs on oblivion and fallout3 and can be minimised if not stopped by clamping the FPS in the cfg, vsynching, and setting compatibility settings to disable desktop composition and themes.

:p I skipped the TNT series for good reason.

that and i was still enjoying some voodoo luvin' lol.
