It is a good score but for the price I would rather just get the GTX295 hec you could probably get two for the price of one mars...
you can get THREE 295's for the price of one MARS. thats pretty cool for one of the first custom cards, but honestly it does not justify the price.
i dont trust the TPU benchs.. how dare they can say that an 9800gtx runs faster in all test and it all res.. than a gtx260 192sp RIDICOLUSSS... so i should think i downgrade my system when i sold my 9800gtx for my current gtx260.. aaarrgg piss me up badly.. my gtx 260 run at least 40% faster and smoother than my old 9800gtx ps.. about the mars.. is a heavy duty piece of art, that´s all. maybe my case thermaltake swordm limited version will cost a lot in the future..
Those scores are absymal! What the hell? I was getting 35fps with 4x AA with a GTX280 and a 9800GT (physx) at 1920x1080. There must be some sort of latency problem with MARS. MARS is 2x GTX285 in SLI so it should be getting around 60fps at 1920x1200
Why should it? One GTX285 @ 20fps, then SLI doesnt make 40fps. Is your "35 FPS" an avergage FPS recorded in a benchmark or a "oh it hit 35fps so ill just say its that" type of thing? My GTX295 hit 38 FPS avg @ 1920x1080 @ very high 4xAA and 16xAF, and that was with a heavily overclocked rig. So something doesn't quite add up with what your saying. If your saying a single GTX285 can match that, then i call BS. By the way, Crysis doesn't support PhysX.
I want that, but I think that might be in need of a triple psu system? lol! CUSTOM CASE!!! lets see here, you need 12 6 pin pcie connectors ( I think, maybe they only need 2) and 2 8 pins for the motherboard along with the 24 pin and all the other extras for peripherals! Room heater anyone  ?
OH WOW I DIDNT REALIZE THAT WAS SO AWESOME LOOKING! true i'de get this if i had the cash. honestly i'de get dual 1000-1500 PSU's plus two card per loop water cooler.
Single cards are always better saves waiting for the damn driver updates. I have said this before and I will say it again dual cards are simply not worth it that is why in the future I will just buy a single card config unless ATI start releasing game profiles as a single download save people waiting for the next driver release. This way would save people the time of renaming .exe files or using freeware to force Xfire or SLI.
It does look fantastic, but that would be a heat, and noise creating monster, you'd spend thousands for the pleasure of increasing the heat and noise in your house tenfold. Think its best we all wait for the GT300 series or the 5870, or even the 5850, which would give the above a run for its money.
All this **** with SLI, Crossfire, i have 3 way SLI, and now there trying to market and come out with highend 4 way SLI setups, EVGA being the first, and that ASUS mars stuff....Very cool, fast if it works but WTF....why dont they make a ****ing 1500 card and sell it....if someone is willing to drop 1200-1800 on 3-4 graphic solution setups just make one card that can do it....that way IT ****ING WORKS..and less driver updates...serouisly. exuse the langauge, but these graphic companies need a god damn wake up call....its sad to see when these companies cant improve upon something better than SLI...oh wait, one card thats faster....wasnt that the simple concept over 6 years ago....errrr..even John Carmack once said about CPUS...that ONE core clocked FASTER 10ghz or something is better than multicores....and relaying on ****ing software....damn these compnies sometimes.errr i had to get that out..
Just benched Crysis with my main system: Core i7 940 @ 3.06ghz 2x GTX280's SLI 12GB DDR3 RAM Windows 7 64-bit My results for 1920x1080/16Q aa/All Very High/Vsync on/DX10/64-bit benchy (18.97min / 28.67avg / 36.28max) http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm259/GeneralPeasant/CrysisALLmaxedBench2x280sli.png And my results for 1920x1080/4x AA/High Setting/Vsync on/DX10/64-bit (34.66min / 48.69avg / 50.19max) So according to the OP's link, 1 MARS gets u 35.2fps @ 1920x1200 with 4x AA. We dont even know if thats average or minimum. Considering my 2 GTX280's cost me £300 and a MARS costs £1000 i'd say those MARS benchies offer abysmal results. Especially when u examine price to performance ratio. Also the normal GTX 295 was only a few fps behind the MARS and a normal GTX295 is only a third of the price. Again, absolutly abysmal MARS. http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm259/GeneralPeasant/benchy2.png When u think about it, a new GTX380 will most likely cost £350-450 and will absolutely $hit on a MARS. So really, what is the point of anyone buying a MARS at all?
^Dude, US markt not Londen where you need a double more time job+study for same stuff to match people on US. Mars cost here 1149 euro. When you can get GTX285 for 300 euro.
