im going to be installing Windows 7 and id like to know if there is any benefit from me installing the 64bit version. My system specs Q6600 cpu 4GB DDR2 9600GT ok i use my pc for gaming, watching films, watchin tv, music, browsing the net, burning discs, etc etc etc. i DONT use it for work or anything else resource hungry like Photoshop or paintshop pro or CAD. im not bothered by the fact i lose 512mb- 1GB of ram using the windows 7 X86. is 64bit faster than the 32bit Win 7 ? Thank you
im not bothered about the ram limit. i just want stable and fast thats going to work and not have to mess about trying to get stuff working, i had problems with XP64 and Vista 64 wasnt any better than its 32bit version. ive heard somthing about signed drivers with x64 and that if they arent signed it wont install em, is this right ?
WOW are you miss-informed........................................ go 64 and you will never look back..................especially with win 7 drivers is no longer an issue and speed and everything is just spot on....................... Dont let Vista be a guide as it is $h!T.....................................move on and dont look back!!
Well cyber told me 64bit was the shizzle and well yeah he was right soon as i jump to 64bit its was very stable even more so than 32bit
In my opinion 64-bit Vista is much better than 32-bit. No one should be using 32-bit OS anymore these days.
If you have a 64-bit processor.. which you do! and 4GB of ram then go for it! Switched to Vista 64x last year and never looked back.
lmao 64bit it is then, thank you for your help anyone know of 64bit drivers for kworld DVB-T 100 TV Card ?
