Looking to pick up a 2nd hand DSLR / Bridge camera for as cheap as possible, to take snaps for Flebay, and general photos of my local Abbey. Cheap as possible, but still quality, so what is the best bang for buck?
A "Prosumer" camera, not quite a compact camera, not quite an SLR-league camera. I'm afraid I'm a bit out of the loop with current releases (too happy with my own kit to really keep up with it all) so I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions :stewpid:
Oh ok Wasn't sure on the terminology. What kind of price range are we talking here. You can probably pick up some second hand 500D's or 450D's or something similar for quite cheap. And honestly they're pretty good DSLR's, and they're a lot better than any other Point and Shoot camera. Really depends how much you're wanting to spend.
Canon Rebel and Nikon D40X (D60) are great for under $600. I bought my Nikon body itself from newegg for $280 I think and it has been a great learning camera.
I don't know what your definition of "cheap" is, but you can get Canon 300Ds on eBay for $150 or thereabouts, or a bit more with a kit lens included.
Ebay UK and most stores in the UK are shocking for camera prices atm, I want one aswell. Looking at a £100 increase since February. Canon EOS 1000D could be had for £270 in Feb now about £380. Ouch.
