I can't get the launcher to download the update to fix the vista connectivity issue. Its probably due to the vista connectivity issue. Talk about catch 22 fail. Monte morons...
Fina-effin-lly Hopefully will have much improved graphics and interface over 2008 had my huge city with 0% poor and 50% elite ... CRAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZYYYYYYY FYI Cities XL official website
I guess I'm on my own here - I lost all hope in these types of games when I installed CityLife Deluxe and had conquered it in about 3 hours...once you can build a White House, Kremlin or even a Sears Tower, the game is over. When I finally shut it down for good, I had 22 Sears Towers, 27 White Houses and 30 Kremlins, making in the hundreds of millions per month. This one looks a little better than the first, and I do have to admit that I wouldn't have put the first one down if I hadn't killed it in 3 hours. It was very intriguing and fun at first, trying to figure it all out, but once I knew the key, it became too simple for me. No replay value for me - but I'm willing to give this one a try - at least for 3 hours. Psychlone
Finally got it to work. Does anyone have the problem of the mouse cursor not being able to click directly on the menu buttons? I seem to have to move my cursor slightly lower than the menu buttons to select anything. Its annoying. The game seems pretty decent so far. There is definitely a lot more flexibility in city and road designs with angular and circular construction methods. I need more play time though.
I heard something about mass transit only being available for people who pay extra money. There is, of course, only one proper response to this EA style 'nickle and dime'-ing for something that should be in the full game for its retail cost. bittorrent.
well there goes my business ..... why pay for mass transport- just why? its the key part of any good city building game.
Yep, I'm just gonna buy the game and steal everything else. Standard operating procedure for this troubling development in game ... development
I downloaded CitiesXL demo, installed it, and went through the tutorials. I got confused on the transportation tutorial. It said to build a road between businesses and CityLink. Where is CityLink?
Monthly Fee? for what? OMFG..u dont fight wtf u do online? odd.. anyway..game unlocks tomorrow on STEAM..i will try demo too..any other tried demo? experiences?
Cities XL allows players to play on a persistent online virtual community known as a planet. As a member of a planet, players will be able to build their cities in a virtual world populated by other subscribers, trade resources such as electricity with other players, visit other cities as an avatar and host events. I have already purchase the game from steam (23 hours left I can’t wait!)
i installed demo. it forced me to register at their site. i did. activated mail. entered my username and pass. it checked update..gave error and said uptodate. and then i press PLAy and its fcking annoyingly giving errors bla bla..FAIL?
I have play about 12 hours Cities XL and I can say that I am very imprested. Everything is there to make this game great! But the online Mod is not worth the money (monthly fee of €7.99), All you can do with the online is trade with other players and visit their cities etc.
