well they already sell i5 mobos here in romania, i'm sure they're everywhere, so the CPUs should be on sale in a few weeks.
what i see is that an i5 mobo costs 2 times less than an x58 one
also, didn't mean to offend with the stuff/staff thing, i just couldn't help it :)

1] I already spotted i5 boards here. The CPUs will be out soon.

2] GTX260 216 is a superb performer. Its 20%-25%max. slower than 285. If you have 22" or less moniter, it yields 60+ fps in almost all the games.

3] As I said, 550 performs as much as an E8400. If you SLI using that CPU, it will heavily bottleneck.

4] Again as I said, 955 performs nearly as much as a Q9550. So, why are you really moving to AMD? Either go for i5 or i7. Else its waste.

Well then instead of going with SLI 260, go with a single 275, spend that money on 955 atleast.

why havent you check out the 275? If you get 2 its = to a gtx 295, just without all of the heat issues.

3 x GTX 265 give you nce hot room. 2 x GTX 275 give you less heat room 1 x GTX 295 give you best temp room, however the card can't be volt-mod. Therefore limited oc. :)

what he has there is a single-pcb 295, so heat isn't a big issue

If you are spending so much (GTX295+PII), opt for i7 instead of it. CPU/Mobo/Ram costs 500$ and is worth for SLI. Opt for it. I wouldn't recommend your selection.

looks like a rockin setup, i am almost tempted to suggest a similar priced SSD over the velociraptor though to be honest.

    Crysis. Crysis. Cryisis!

That is what we base our GPU performance on.

A singlre GTX 275. Will not ever! give you, the perfect rendering you require at 1900x1200.

Crysis does well on SLI rendering. CPU. requirements are to a less extent needed.

Crysis. To my mind. Is the benchmark for GPUs. And that is why I chose. My system.
To run at 1920x1080. Without Hiccup.

Plenty of $/£s /Eu's. But if it is what you require ? Then you have to BTB. And go for it.

I Don't know if these figures will help. But to my mind it may show what you are dealing with?

BTW. No AA. at 1920x1080. is no big deal.:)

I just know its one of the most heavy games out there so if a setup can play that it plays everything :) if the setup i choose will play as good as my old one and hopefully better im happy :)

It is indeed . Thee most. Heavily GPU dependent game ever! And is basically a benchmark for all.

You will have to choose the requirements yourself. Dependant on Budget/Aspect Ratio/to what extent of play you require.

It is a very demanding program, with many variables.

If you can concquer it? Then you should be able to play any GPU. bound Game/Sim.
    (Not CPU. bound
    ( Flight/Racing program.)

SLI. Is the way, for perfect Crysis. A single GTX295 should be suffice.(2x285s Cream a 295.)

Of added interest a GTX 295 Is an SLI card. If any of your fav. Older games donot support SLI. Well your 295 is as good as a 9600GTS????.(Just a thought)

The rest of Sim Game World are dependent on manufacturer of Game/Sim. And what they want to promote?(No Suckers here though???)
