is it possible to run triple channel rams in the black ram slots. I think i killed one of the orange ram slots. Its at the shop but they wont RMA it cause they say there is physical damage back of mobo.
i own the asus v1 but ask here = http://vip.asus.com/forum/topic.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=P6T+Deluxe&board_id=1
well all is good. I can't run triple channel on the black slots but i managed to get the orange ones working. Took some time but with the help of a conductive ink pen managed to connect two broken circuits on the back of mobo which i damaged removing the back plate for my waterblock.
that's good. If you read the manual, it says the recommended configuration is using the 3 orange slots. There is no note anywhere that says it would work the other way around, but i don't see why it shouldn't.
No they don't work. If running 6gb 3 sticks kits it has to run on the orange slots as in all x58 boards you have to run the kits starting on the second slot away from the cpu. But yeah i managed to get it working again cost 5 bucks for the conductive pen so im rapt
Thats kind of confusing. How do you use the black slots. Does that mean in order to run triple channel in them you need to fill up the orange ones First ?
yeah thats rite the black ones are for if you want to run 12gb so when running triple channel with 3 sticks they must go in the orange ones. Its same all round with the x58 mobo.
