    Im wondering if i should have kept my other LG which was 22" 1680x1050. I just bought another LG 23" which is 1920x1050 and it seems to lag my current setup. I dont really think it looks any better than 1680x1050. Is there that much of a performance hit between the two?.

    What exact LG do you have now?

    1680x1050 = 1,764,000 pixels
    1920x1080 = 2,073,600 pixels

    It's a 17.5% increase in pixels... So around 17.5% less performance (generally speaking).

    Are you certain it is 1920x1080 native resolution? Not sure I've heard of a monitor that small with full HD (i.e. 1920x1080) - lots of the support that resolution for input but it scales it back down to the actual native resolution which can cause lag. So what exact HDTV from LG do you have now?

    ok, nice monitor...

    So what is lagging exactly? And how do you have it connected?

    I've been seeing a lot of affordable 16:9 1080p monitors lately. Was going to buy one for my xbox 360 (Hanns) but for some reason, I chose to stick with my 22in LG (the added black bars @ 1680x1050 seem to give my xbox 360 a cinematic widescreen effect lol).

    Anyway, what games do you play that give you slowdown. The 275 should do pretty good up to 1920. I even ran crysis with my hdtv at the same res and my fps still held pretty good compared to 1680

    DVI/DVI. I have a DVI/HDMI cable coming not to sure if it will be any different than DVI/DVI. Crysis mainly GTA .. I had a GTX260 and a 720BE and the 22" LG before and just upgraded to my current specs. I guess i was hoping for more of a performance boost i should have kept the 22" LG. I will probably just sell my current LG and get the 22" one.

    I recently upgraded from 1680X1050 to 1920X1080 and the performance drop was very very minimal for me, probably 5-7fps across the board. My GTX 275 handles this resolution like a champ. I dont know why you would have issues with it unless your CPU just isnt up to par.

    I have a gtx 275 @ 1920x1200 and I can play most games just fine with a decent bit of eye candy.

    It must be the OP's CPU then because looking at my CPU, your CPU and Homelesses CPU we are all 3 running a much faster CPU.

    The GTX 275 is a strong GPU and it needs a fast CPU to get the most from it, even at high resolutions.
