source: http://blogs.coventrytelegraph.net/thegeekfiles/2009/07/ridley-scott-returns-to-alien.html I'm really looking forward to it, but the fact that Keanu Reeves is going to play the main character is a huge bummer already tbh.
hmm....this news disappointments me as massive amount of remakes/resurrected stuff have been that bad i want to stab myself 30 million times with a coat hanger.
I like the remake they did on tv where a kid fell down into that big chamber thing with all the eggs and a bunch of little fruit loops birds hatched. i was so scared i peed a little
Mr Smith i could live with, his acting does vary from movie to movie, and he has the physicality for these types of movies. Mr Reeves though... i like him, but only when the part calls for bland or emotionless. Not that we can moan, there hasn't been a good Alien movie in 23years anyway.
Think we know Bogus would be more apt "Set to star Keanu Reeves, it tells the story of a spacecraft taking people to colonise a distant planet. A malfunction causes one passenger (Reeves) to wake from suspended animation 90 years before the others and, faced with the prospect of growing old and dying alone, he awakens a beautiful woman to be his companion." And...................................
Whenever i watch Keanu Reeves now i see Neo... every single film after has been the same style, cold and unemotional.
I like Keanu alright enough, but i'm not sure about him in an Alien film, but I'll definitely hold my judgement till it come out. Personally though, I think they should have found some unique looking, no name actor.
The plot will reveal how Keanu mixes the wrong elements in his drink and mutates horribly into the first alien. He then absorbs his recently awoken female companion to acquire some nice curves and walk like a kitten for maximum on-screen entertainment.
I wouldn't watch this movie just cause I didn't like the Alien movies..but with Keanu in it..yea I will watch it. I've loved all his movies and still keep The Replacements on my DVR in HD to watch over and over! Great movie!
