I'm just hoping to get it through my college, hopefully they'll add it soon to our Microsoft download able software for Computer based majors. We have a contract with Microsoft where every computer related major (programming/hardware/electrical/etc) can have free access to a lot of the Microsoft big dogs (XP Pro, Vista x64/x86, XP Pro x64, etc)
If your lame attempt at sarcasm was in reference to THE msdn, I still don't see the connection.... No need to be defensive In fact I couldn't really care less, so bye.
This just now made it to the news forum? I've had the OEM build for just less than a week There's already updates for it, too.
Sarcasm? Defensive? I'm confused, I was just trying to name the software contract with Microsoft (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/default.aspx) my school NC State has a contract with them and we get access to free copies of basically anything Microsoft. I don't see what you're talking about sarcasm or defensive...I just named the program.
Well if you have access to an MSDN account you'll be able to get a key and all that fun stuff the 6th.
"Windows 7 OEM Master Key Leaked, Can Activate Any OEM Build" http://www.dailytech.com/Windows+7+OEM+Master+Key+Leaked+Can+Activate+Any+OEM+Build/article15816.htm
Nothing suprising about this. same trick they used for Vista and XP before it. Can this really be considered "news"?? Cuz this news is pretty old in itself..
certainly nothing new, but it certainly doesnt help the computer industry at all, only takes a few to ruin it for everyone. thanks to them, i have to activate, wga and god knows what else the future holds....force them to make us use cloud computing? Things were fine till torrents came along. there i said it.
There were always ways to get pirated stuff, except money went to the mafia instead of non-profit torrent sites.
Considering the crazy amounts of "leaks" that MS always has during OS releases, I have a feeling that it's more like a marketing strategy than an accident. Give it to the pirates, let them use it and like it and praise it, it gets a good name (or the occasional bad name), word spreads that it's good, and all the morally conscious boys and girls pay out the nose for it.
when it comes to windows i always buy Professional and that's not going to change with W7, i've checked the comparison between versions and Prof is exactly what i need.
