Hello to all of you folks!

I am about to release a new ATIFuse driver for Windows XP / Vista / Seven which would replace the old patchscript-way used in convention. This driver will perform like NVStrap, leaving the ATI miniport driver intact on the disk, thus saving all certificates and other stuff related to driver signature enforcement. This will eliminate the usage of Vista Boot Pro.

So I need your opinion on what would be preferable for you (poll please and post your opinion in here):

    1. To use the common patchscripts with Riva with Vista Boot Pro (conventional driver-signature skipping method),
    2. To use the common patchscripts with a test-certificate generated on your machine and valid only on this one (aka 'Windows Test Mode').
    3. To use the new digitally-signed ATIFuse driver with update and adjust software standalone or integrated into RivaTuner as a plugin (that is what I am working on).

    Regards,
    gellmaR

As soon as I complete the info loader for my driver - this needs a bit of encryption to protect you (the future users) from hackers like me but wanting to make you pain :pc1: Beta testing is EXTREMELY needed, and the beta would be available very soon (depends on the aforementioned things). So, post your requests for beta testing here! :)

For some reason I cant post on the other thread :-/

You can get a tool that will disable the driver signing for specific DLL's in Windows 7

I can beta test on a single pc, just give a list of things you want checking.

    Os is Vista32 Ultimate SP2
Gfx ATI 3850 512 AGP (Saphire)

I tried changing the bios SSID inc Atom SSID from 9505 to 9511(V7700) with atiflash and a rom I modded with RBE, while flashing atiflash reported that the ID had been changed :),
But after a reboot the SSID through atiflash -ai still showed up as 9505 !!? :( .
Vistas device manager reported a problem with the device, but showed ID 9505 (something was happening).
Interestingly after using RBE to scan the bios of the card it said their was now 2 SSID's in the Bios and showed only the first which came up as 9511.
thinking back I should of checked the hex output of the Bios scan to check what atiflash had actualy changed.

so I then put the original bios back in and tried to change the SSID with atiflash -mi and got an error SSID not found, so I gave up.

gellmaR have you tried a look at atiflash throu say IDA, because it seems to pick up an SSID from somewhere other than the usual two locations. it might get the ssid from the overdrive signature, just a guess.

Which one? For XP32? I can do it now. For 7? You won't be able to run the patched driver, so AtiFuse....AtiFuse....ATiFUZZZZ! :)
