Street Fighter 4 Thread

I have installed it in my laptop, which has a intel core 2 dou 8100 2.1 Ghz and a Geforece 8600 GT 512 mb and everytime I want to play it, it is all OK, I choose the character and then the screen goes black and I can hear some audio but no image at all. The the audio stop and the screen stay black then I have to close the game by the CTR+ALT+SUPR, And then I see a problem that says "A video hardware problem occur" .. something like that .. but why?? I can play other games without having that problem! It only happens wi SF IV

 

I found when i put my settings to x8 antialiasing It shat its self. I have a 9800gt and didnt handle it to well...Although plays excellent on No antialiasing

 

I've installed this game and what must I buy to play this game better? Joystick?

 

Try with anti-aliasing off.

Joystick + Practice, practice + more practice and a bit more practice for good measure.

Did I mention practice?

 

How do I change the stencils? To like ink and the extra PC features.

 

I personally don't like the stencil and extra post-processing stuff.

 

Well how do I do it?

 

From the benchmark "demo" (Assuming it's similar to the game.) you enter the options menu (Settings) and scroll to the bottom of it where there should be a option to use either Ink, Posterization, Watercolor or None in terms of which special effect to use.

I cant find that damn thing anywhere its not there for me...

I am getting the hang of this game nasty sick style I am getting damn good with combos and I am learning how to use them and time them correctly. I could BARELY do the Tiger Uppercut now I can do it like 75-80% of the time.

I'll second that!...and this is with everything maxed out!

Wouldn't play it without Vsync on though...it's fast enough and hard enough at 60fps!

 

omggggggg sooo close to release.... too bad though steams going to F'up and release it like 6 hours late :/ then ima go like fml and qq and then be happy again when i can play it

yeah, very nice port. it really surprised me how fast and smooth it plays with everything on with my rig.

 

My score was around 7000 at highest settings, 4xAA and 1920x1200.

It shouldn't really though. SF IV looks OK (I'm not a fan of the ugly art style myself) but it's a very simple game graphically using a 2D viewpoint for 95% of the bouts and there's very little going on in the backgrounds, just a few looped animations. It's not using any advanced physics either. Basically if the game *didn't* run well on most PCs then I'd have been surprised.

 

Was unlocked on Gamersgate (Steam, Impulse and D2D as well I guess.) a while ago, mainly been unlocking extra fighters on lower difficulty levels, Gouken (and Seth) proved to be quite hard to get though.
(Now trying to complete all challenges and several achievements, beating the game with every fighter on hard or higher difficulty level for example or completing all of those challenges or beating Gouken on v.hard, not to mention having to do the stuff to get to him first, heh there's tons of stuff to do in this game easy to get into but very hard to learn everything the game has to offer.)
