Not a big fan of raven myself. They do an OK job most of the time, but I haven't thought of their work as being exceptional since Heretic, which I thought was excellent. They generally make good games, but not great games imho.

Yea it's been officially announced by id, and tbh it's quite clear that this isn't using same engine as Rage, even tho it still looks good, but nowhere near the new engine. I hope it works on my current rig, which it should.
There was a good deal of novelty in putting that game on highest difficulty then piling the bodies/limbs up. However, the game play felt bland to me once I got used to the gore. Looking back, counter strike & Rainbow Six/rogue spear probably overshadowed it for me.

Hm. Everybody expects something else from a new game. I trust id software to deliver once again another amazing FPS.
I just hope they do not add the ironsights and no shooting while sprinting into the MP. If I want to do that, I'll play COD4. I and probably most of the Wolfenstein community want that "magic" MP that RTCW had. Fast pace, 1 or 2 objectives, and overall a great fun. I'm a HUGE Wolfenstein fan.

It's come a looooonnng way since I played it first back on an Apple][ I never really got into this type of game until just a few years go - now shooters are all I want to play, and this one looks *really* good!! C'mon July 30! Psychlone
Return to Castle Wolfenstein was one of my first PC games. I remember in a old PC Zone magazine there was a like a 6 page review of it. It was released the same time as Medal of Honour Allied Assault and that game seemed to get more attention.
imho allied assault is just better, i have played it for 5 years straight, been in 5 clans total lol times when i used to play untill 6am the next day LOL oh well good memories
