Planning on getting a car next year I get back to the states for college. Any recommendations? I'm currently looking at Infinity G37 (and M series), or maybe a Lexus IS.

Um... as for my ride now, does the subway train count? :) Bus, Taxi, bicycle.... Need to be 18 here to drive, sucks.

Uhm, how exactly is a college student paying for a car like this?
You don't want more debt during that time.

Car and tuition are something my parents said they'll cover for me. Living expenses I have to cover myself, so I don't think I'll have too much pressure.

Definitely going to stay out of debt, that's something that is seriously not cool.

Isn't that kind of taking the piss to get an M3 or something if your parents offer to buy you a car?

If you wreck it you better pay for it. My cousins totalled like 5 cars each and my aunt had to pay for them all... One of them wrecked my uncles 5.0 mustang. Sentimental Value...GONE...

Now im responsible for my late-moms 2000 Ford F-150, I swear i think im starting to like Ford after this truck and how bulletproof everything is on it..

ok... after all those lazy moments, i figured i'd finally post my car.
its a 2006 volvo s40 T5. (2,5T inline 5) 220bhp, 320Nm from 1500 to 5000 rpm, manual gearbox, and the xenon headlights which ive always dreamt of (i mainly travel in the nighttime, and in poland we don't have many dual carrigeways, lol no comment)

sorry, but no mods :( i'll only be replacing the crappy stereo.
the reason is, this car makes about 2000km a month, mainly the 500km trips between the cities where i and my girlfriend study on, as you english would call it, B roads :). Therefore reliability is the key factor for me.
