Either its nvidia's ati's new card, something from that up coming tech show thing, Asus releasing a another sound card or maybe info about the new socket for intel I5's.

 

How in the world did you get your GTX 260 to do 770mhz core?

Mine is starting to give me trouble at just 700mhz and its even one of the preoverclocked models.

My load temps are great at around just 62c so I dont know what gives.

 

Voltage is what gives.

That, and not every chip overclocks the same...

 

Well you cant use the evga voltage tuner on the 55nm GTX 260's so if this guy has increased his voltage I want to know the secret. lol.

 

All i can tell you is, I was just very lucky.But yea I using whatever the default voltage is for these cards. Also it prolly your shader clocks that giving you trouble since that seems to be whats starts to go unstable. as I cant really do more because of my shader clocks not liking any thing higher.

Yeah it could be, I have the shaders at 1500mhz but I have seen people with much higher shaders than that.

Oh well, I might have to bump it down a bit.

 

I know, which is why i said that, and/or not every card overclocks the same.

Someone might have a card that overclocks better than his, someone else might have one that doesn't overclock at all... be glad with what you have because overclocking isn't a right, it's a priviledge.

nVidia...Massively parallel computing.

1 gpu...good
2 gpu....SLI
2 single gpu cards sandwiched....SLI
1 dual gpu on a stick....Remember the term "massively parallel" kiddies? Both gpu processors don't have to be SLI if they are on the same card. Kind of absurd for them to do it that way with the advent of new tech.

Just my take on it.
I mean really, why would a Vid Card Manufacturer waste tech on making a single card an SLI-On-A-Stick card when they would do what they are well known for and use their own well known "massively parallel" proxy approach to it and make a card a single unit unto itself regardless of the physical processing chips.

nvlddmkm: Ok.... so explain that one to me..... how two GPU's don't have to be in SLI/Crossfire if they're on the same card. It's my understanding that the two GPU's need to be linked in some way/shape/form in order for them to cooperate in processing the same information. if SLI/Crossfire wasn't necessary.... it probably wouldn't have existed in the first place. Think even those old Voodoo cards that had multiple GPU's were using some form of an SLI-esque connection.

 

i think it is not possible for ati's or nvidia's card to be this early..

i think guru3d want to the website into something else.. hehehe..

maybe, guru3d organize a overclock competiton maybe..
