You must be under XP and the rest ones must be under Vista / W7. There are changes in Vista driver version naming scheme, since this release Vista/W7 driver is unified so the version jumped from Vista specifict 7.15.xx.xx to new W7 specific 8.15.xx.xx. There are no changes in XP version.

Drivers are good, preety stable, min FPS have increased a bit i think, thats why it is smoother.

I only benched 3d06 so far, same score as 182.50 ~15920 points.

I only got one problem though, if i just launch the exe for the driver, it doesnt finish installing, it just says System has not been modified or what soever. If i take out PhysX out of it and run them seperately it is fine.

Well, the problem aint new, its been there since the introduction of PhysX with drivers, and even a recent format didnt sort it out.

Why are peeps saying they "want Nvidia to fix these drivers to work with RivaTuner" ?

Its the other way around, it wont be the 1st time a change in the driver needs a updated Rivatuner which we have been told is in June.

Has Absolutely Nothing to do with Nvidia as Rivatuner is not officially theirs.

Oddly when I just started my pc as soon as I booted into windows it went into 1920x1080 interlaced. I'm not surprised but at least this is better than those 185.xx betas.

finally got the edid override working for 185 range of drivers. Not bad drivers at all, noticably faster yipee, UNTIL I notice its because AF isn't working at all.

So for me the bugs introduced in this driver series are

    No Anisotropic Filtering
Black video output when being fed RGB32 (I use ffdshow to convert yv12 to rgb32hq).

Installed these drivers only to find out vsync in still non-existant in DX10. I can't believe there isn't more complaining about the lack of vsync in DX10. Either you guys enjoy watching massive tearing in a game or are ignorantly oblivious to it.

I think most people here turn vsync off by choice.

No most of us choose to turn it off. The only games that "need" it turned on (and this is still a personal preference not mandatory) are Bioshock and Mass Effect. Bioshock has minimal tearing with it turned off but it does bother me so I usually turn it on. Enabling vsync in Mass Effect can cause performance issues so it is suggested that you turn it off.

I personally dont want the FPS capped at 60 because if it drops below that at all for any reason I can tell. Kind of annoying if it's during a multiplayer game and people start skipping all over the screen.

I almost forgot. Vsync also tends to screw with the mouse so if I play one game with vsync on and then another with it off the mouse doesn't work the same. Kind of annoying. Anywho, it is once again a personal preference. No need to go getting all Wounded Knee on us. (Bonus points for anyone who knows what movie the Wounded Knee line comes from and who said it.) :)

BTW This driver isn't perfect but it is definitely the best since the release of the crappy 182.50. I have Vista Ultimate 64.

185.xx family drivers are very problematic, DX10 games works very well, but when I try play DX9 version of the same games many weird thing happens. for example, Lost Planet show black screen when AF filter is activate, texture corruption in Devil May Cry 4, Crysis and warhead better close my mouth.
Batman Arkham Asylum coming soon, I hope these drivers solved those problems because I have all my hopes in this game.

Vsync working fine for GTA 4, and I don't know how you guys play games without vsync.... I can safely say I wouldn't take 10000 fps non vsync to 30fps vsynced....

It would be like 10000 torn up shredded , half drawn frames versus 30 perfect full ones, I would take the 30 frames anyday...
