The music from SuperMario 3 for me. Man, played that game so much that I thought I heard it everywhere I went. I remember asking my parents if they were hearing it too. lol

All Streets Of Rage, there should be a new game, not 3d but with graphics like the new street fighter game.

For that matter...even though the Genesis had a lower quality sound system than the SNES, for some reason I just always thought the music had more too it. It was all really well done.

Tricktrack Part 2 from Phantasy Star Online. The Spaceship levels themselves sucked, but the music was just plain awesome.

Medic Dance from Medal of Honor: Allied Assault was another excellent track. But, that goes for the MOHAA series anyway with excellent orchestrations.

Of course, Still Alive from Portal and M4 (part II) as the ending credits of Mass Effect are also extremely memorable.

Games many times have some excellent music. Whether it's the peppy, simplistic tunes of Koji Kondo, or the rock ballads of Kelly Bailey (Half-Life), there's music of all genres to be enjoyed from games.

    i agree.
i noticed snes seem to have ability to play more instruments at once, more channels i guess?? but adding more didnt always make good tunes. just look at Super shadow of the beast (snes) vs shadow of the beast on genesis. gens wins by far.
but starfox was pretty good tunes

Speaking of AoC... How is it now ? I quit a while ago got massively sick of all the bugs and errors and lack of content and players etc.
I was on the Fury Eu PvP server.

    My favourite is probably Half Life 2 + Ep1 + Ep2.

Really epic music. Especially the scenes when the rock music starts up, and it just really psyches you up...it's an awesome feeling and are simply amazing games. Still one of my favourite games ever

So i take it then that i'm the only one here that thinks Halo had great music?

In my opinion it was one of the areas where it really stood out.

    The Blizzheads anyone ? :)

    Few songs:

Tassadar and the Templars of Steel
    With Marines
    I Quit Starcraft
Very interesting music and from different genres. If you are StarCraft fan, listen few of those songs. Others, well, you can try.

You've obviously never listened to him to come to that conclusion, he does have a lot of bin worthy songs, but a few are good, such as the theme to Omikron... Heroes as well for example
