When I installed 185.68_geforce_winvista_64bit_international_beta driver it gave me this: nvcpl.dll could not be found in system32 error. This happens only with this driver and not with the previous one 185.66. Then I downloaded it again and reinstalled it two times more and the same thing happens, so this driver is buggy, or the files that we are downloading are corrupted!

I have problems with beta nvidia drivers, too, on Vista 64.
    I get this message:

When I restart I don't have a control panel at all.
This doesn't happen with the whql drivers, though.

I actually did my own comparison and yes, it is faster. First game ever where DX10 is faster than DX9.

Dxdiag reports my gtx285 has 494mb memory, it did so with the previous 185 also.
X3Terran demo does the same, showing my card cas 494mb ...

when I look at the nvidia control panel it seems I went from 3200somethingMB to 4606MB "total available gfx mem" ...

    what's up with that?

Far Cry 2 is covered with Black Squares all the time.
Can't see a thing, it has serious render issues.

I get the ' driver not responding and recovered ' with all the 185.6x series of drivers - the current whql works fine - wonder if the 185.6x series doesn't like my overclock....

These drivers make my system slower, as do all of the newer 185.XX series drivers, especially logon. The welcome screen sits there for 5-10 seconds before moving on. Normally it is instant. The significantly older 185.XX series did not do this, only the recent ones.

I am normally not one affected by these types of issues. Yes I do all the correct driversweeper/drivercleaner procedures.

For me all 185.** drivers have been trash with some sort of artifact or another in FC2 and crashing in L4D.

Weird, I had the same problem with the other 185.xx drivers, but it seems these are quite good for my system. I had the weird source engine bug in l4d. But now it's seems fixed. I haven't done any benchmarks but It seems these are quite fast for my system.

I might be speaking to soon, but if any problems start to appear I'll be back to report them!
