It was a joke ..lol .. I meant that after installation, the order of desktop icons are all mixed together :p

Never had a problem with ATI drivers before (since Rage32mb I think)

    Good luck

What are the internal driver version of these, for 2D, D3D and OpenGL?

I have the 4890 test drivers which have this,

    Driver Packaging Version 8.592.3-090303a-077328C
    Catalyst™ Version 09.3
    Provider ATI Technologies Inc.
    2D Driver Version 8.01.01.882
    2D Driver File Path /REGISTRY/MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet001/Control/CLASS/{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}/0000
    Direct3D Version 8.14.10.0647
    OpenGL Version 6.14.10.8543
    Catalyst™ Control Center Version 2009.0225.1546.28221

These drivers had to be manually install because I think they are BIOS tied to the 4890 in the install.

Ok so they release a new drivers and they still have:

    1) No AVIVO for vista x64 users using the GPU

    2) WOW shadow bug is back... So they broke what they fixed in the first place.

    3) 2d/3d bug is still present after all this time...

So what new did they put into this driver set.

    1) better W7 support...

Thats it.... wtf? How can people still not see why some people get really angry when they shell out lots of money for product that has so many bugs, and not only that but bugs that (and i quote) "are so easy to fix" then why haven't ATI fixed them? I am not saying that I want to go to the green team. I just think that next time I shall be buying a single core GPU instead a X2 card.

The white outlined water bug in Call of Duty World at War is indeed fixed with these drivers on my rig.

I'm not disapointed at all, all software that have several million users have some bugs in it, and half the time it's the end user's own fault, not the actual driver/software.

I have no problems at all with ATi drivers, works like a charm.

I'll try out the demo and see if there's a difference after I install.

If anyone cares - as i said earlier playing MKV files using MPC w/ DXVA with drivers 9.2 was completly broken for me - with the 9.3's this problem is fixed.

    Everything else seems the same.

TF2 is crashing like crazy in Windows 7 now. So far I am not impressed. Probably going back to Vista for now I think.

EDIT: Nevermind its the new update which causes crashing. FAIL ON VALVES BEHALF!

I've found a fix for that problem: setting Gamer to all visual settings fixed the loading screen bug. (I've noticed that something fiddled with my settings and it sure wasn't me, one of them was NOT on Gamer).
