Yeah I been wanting to use a couple of the GX2'S myself see what they can do, maybe even three of them............
If I had money I'd buy a new I7, but not yet.

Had to RMA one as it had a dead DVI output, and AMD sent me a 4870. I bought a newegg open box asus dual fan (to go with my saphire original) and they did not like cross fire. I think you would have to use a dif bios on the asus card...
Thanks man love the DO :)

You gonna over clock those GPU'S? Minds well run up the points, how are you liking the U5D board? Any issue's with it and over clocking on it? Been looking hard at it as apposed to the newer EVGA board witch is out as I'm no Dicer. I'm also looking at the
UD4P as I don't need all the SATA ports.
Guy over @XS has flashed his U5D with the Extreme bios from the U5D extreme and states you can do the same with the UD4P as well.
    Cheers!

I have now as the GPUs would not overclock before, but newest rivatuner works like a champ. Stock air they do 810 910 so far I think and it did get me a bump in vantage. Gona go back and rerun older benches when when I finish GPUs and finish up my SSD raid issues... RMA'd a 2405 (no rear write cache), and now working a 5808 and found a bad vertex drive. When this build is done (need 3 more drives) the 5805 will have 8 vertex ssds in a raid 0 for my benches only. Thanks man, more to follow.
    Dave
edit UD5 is nice, first gigabyte board in a long time. The extra satas are a bust for me as the gb sb is for backups only I gues as I could never get it to work right. I have messed with a bunch of thier beta bios and only had good luck with F5c, all 6 was bad for me. Nice board.

    Not Sure
cowie, thanks for the 4890 runs, been wondering what a couple of 4890s would do, looks very promising based on your single runs. Over a 100 fps change in GT4 with a driver change, nice.

Yeah I have there X48-DQ6 MB and the GB SB sata's fall off line under heavy over clocking essentially killing any raid on it, so now I have to run straight OS on the regular sata plugs. Someone told me there is a known issue with these SB chips on the 775 boards, not sure about the I7 and that AHCI chip.

Are you using a controller card for the SSD'S? Or straight off the MB?
    Cheers!

    Very nice cowie!

In rivatuner it's showing the two GPU'S with different core and memory clockings? Just wondering if its me or are you using AMD GPU tool?
