Total War series rules. Especially Medieval 2 (I'm a history student with medievalism as speciality, so that figures ) But what's up with the low fps? Does it enable you to use insane detail levels, or doesn't it need the high fps to be smooth?
personally i think you would be mad not to. It looks an amazing total war title. But it all depends on your taste too must admit, it will take some getting used to over the previous titles. In the previous titles the gun units were complete utter ****!!! i mean really bad, took for ever to reload and got stuck most of the time, couldnt beat archers imo lol
ı just hate resource collecting, base building RTS games..yeahi we dont have resource collecting here but management of economics..well AI can do that right as previous TW games?
I can't wait for this! Finally a PC exclusive game again! YAY! I hope they fixed the issues from the demo though, like the super long load times. I think they can, but from what I've read the entire economic system management has been made easier in Empire Total War, so you may want to check it out to see how easy it is.
The easy answer to that would be to just play the demo which is on steam. I will most definitely be getting the game. The demo was just amazing and yeah land battles are totally different from METW but in a good way. Besides who can honestly say that they fought every single battle in camp mode rather than just hitting auto resolve. I only ever fought ket battles like City/Castle defense.
Aye ... the council missions pretty much give you little to no resource. The units they give you after a mission are somewhat useless as well. Also if you dont have a large enough garasion in a city and the tax rate is on high you see a revolt. Said to say sometimes when i conquer a new city or castle i had to resort to sacking and extermination for some quick income. Atleast they made trading kinda fun which does help to bring in some monies although it was some times a pain in the ass when sent a whole load of merchants to a place like jerusalem who then cancel your damm trade rights beacuse the pope has called a crusade resulting in them either killing or overunning your mechants.
Yes it will. But try the demo to be safe. My rig could go at max settings (save hardware shadows and at 1280x1024) with great fps. So you should be more than ok.
I can't freakin' wait for this title to arrive Thursday in the mail. The TW series is one of those rare gems that allow tons of replay and actually requires some thought strategy wise. Battles are going to be blood baths though, lines of infantry and arty blasting away is gonna result in some high casualty figures. And naval warfare is going to be key in deciding the outcome of your bid for global hegemony, sweet! You can even name your units/ships to whatever you want. I'm glad my GF is going out of town on business b/c I'm going to be geek-hermit for a while. And best of all, no consolitis bullsh*t to deal with
Is there a PRE LOAD on STEAM version? u know, buy now, and start DL game and when game is out, start playing.
low fps?, on my pc the demo is totally smooth (load times r pretty high but thats supossed to be fixed on release), and i play maxed, at 1280x1024 without AA. Anyways with 30fps in mtw2 it was totally smooth ^_^
that one pic of mine with 17 fps is with all max settings 16af 4aa i think and only 1 of my GPUs is working sli don't work with my drivers so its basicly just a gtx 260, also fps are much lower when you zoom in like that.
oh i didnt see the fps marker, i thought he was speaking about self-experience with demo xD and yea, that screen is like a DIE PC DIE, no1 will play with that view i think xP. anyways that fps is not that bad in mtw2, ive played situations with around 20s and it was ok
